AR15, i was thinking the same, the issue i had with the rpc is a you are inside the trader song playing 1:30 into a 3min song i enter server gives me the track from 0:00 it cant sync the same song at the 1:30 mark i have tried so many times. please feel free to play with the code

I loveit! If you're having problems syncing the theme music with the players, it may be because the track selection isn't being done on the server side but on the client side. Therefore, each client will roll their random number and select the random track.
I think it could be solved if this "random" track selection were done only once on the server side. Therefore, an RCP should be added to transmit the track between the client and the server. This way, when the player enters the area where the item is located, they load the RCP and get the same theme music. Now, I have no idea how to sync the exact moment of the song with all users, but it can probably be done within the .C object structure inside the OnUpdate variable?
Can I play with your code a little?

I'm a DayZ veteran but new to working with existing mods. My question is do I unpack the Trader Music mod, replace the music files and make sure the new music files are named the same as your original. Repack, take the resulting PBO and place it in my server pack to be signed and put on the workshop?

Velociraptor, i have now tried the past few hours to make it work

The issue is that dayz cant sync track state to players

example player 1 - Track state 1:30 and a new player enters or join the server track forward is not possible it will start the track from 0.00 this is a Dayz limitation, maybe someone can can help me with this or make something similar

Deceased like i said i can make it work with sync.
The issue is it will duplicate the sound i had that issue
Sound stays on the server, when the player leaves the area and come back the speaker will render in again sound will start again players next to you will hear the duplicated sound

The only way for me was to remove the sound, when you leave and the object gets removed AKA speaker it will remove the sound aswell. and this is done on the client

How did you do it, through RPC behavior? I haven’t ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with sound synchronization yet but if there’s away to make it work, I’d be keen to help you out, if you’d like to collab. I’ve made a similar mod for my servers but not with syncs. I think sync is just a better idea. If you’d like to get together and see if we can make it work (which is doable), we should:)

Hi Deceased, i removed the sync as it was duplicating the sound, making it only start playing random tracks when you get close / rendering in the speaker was way better on server performance, sync will keep the sound alive on the server client side was better

Is there a way to extend how long the tracks play if there is a duration set in the script area of the addon itself? I repacked it and changed out the songs but for some reason since they're longer than the original soundtracks you included, the songs get cut off early and don't play out to their full duration
