That would be awesome if you could do that.

This happens because I disabled these portraits for randomly spawned empires, so that no one would encounter species with astartes portraits while playing as an empire with these portraits. Unfortunately, this restriction applies to customly created empires too.
I can make a separate mod that doesn't have this restriction, If you wish.

I tried getting an empire with the portraits as the species, however, it does not seem to work, at all. Whether it be an making an AI empire for them to spawn in, or the player trying to spawn in, the empire will not properly load.

The Xenos are gonna have a bad time with this one
