I'll add here what I posted on the corresponding hat unusual: Grainier would be better. Granted on the weapon this effect looks more like sand, but that's IMHO due to the animation speed.
For the weapon unusuals making it slower (as Eman suggested) and more sandy/less dusty would make this much better.
