Banners and uniforms aren't necessarily the same colour. Reikland, for example, have a black/white flag with white/red uniforms.

Hi! I’ve noticed that when using this mod, shields, banners, and sometimes units themselves don’t seem to pick up the updated colours you've set for particular factions — they stay in their default colours (i.e. Kostatyn primary not black or, Thorek secondary not yellow)

I’m just wondering what might cause that? Could it be down to the shader or mask setup on these models, or perhaps a reskin overriding something in the variantmeshes? Thanks!

@Vichechi, Sure, but if you only use that one faction's texture and flag then it will look completely different from the vanilla ones. Why not just write in your mod description that people should use this mod as well?

If you really want to use just one single faction's flags and icons from my mod, then of course you can use it - if you credit me in the mod description of course. :)

Hi RobinHat. I know, what I'm planning is to make Alit Anar have a new settlement. New skin, a new lore of magic (well actually 2, lore of shadows and lore of the skies with 6 spells in total). New flag, a dragon mount. Alith Anar's character adjustments so that he is weaker on foot using magic and that he is anti-singulars with the bow and anti-infantry with spells, but weak in melee. When he has his dragon, his stats will be decent in melee. New colors for his faction. New units at the start of the campaign. And a couple more things I have in mind. I asked you about the flags because I love the design you gave in your mod and I wanted to take it to include it in mine. But if you are not satisfied, I will not use it.

This is causing a conflict with SCM's Dynasty of the Damned. The culture and/or subculture or something gets messed up, and the modded faction (Nongchang vampires) loses its buildings and features. I love using both of these so hopefully there's a fix.

@Vichechi, My mod works with pretty much every mod that isn't a flag mod, so you wouldn't need to add it to your mod - just have both mods active at the same time.

They are not pixellated. It is the weird vanilla cloth texture that is already in the game. Maybe I should take a look at it and change it. :)

beautiful work, one issue I have is that the cathay flags can seem really pixellated in battle. On 4k, HDR enabled no other mods enabled during test.

Seems to be factions related to IEE. I have seen several now. currently looking at guets of raja being broken. shows default flag and my army banner is off centered

@Jbo012, A few uniforms are updated, but only if it fits with the lore. However, this does not generally change uniform colours, no.

Some uniform colours are changed if it is lore-accurate (or some are toned down a bit like the Skryre update I just did).

If there is official lore regarding the banner/symbol of a faction then I make it exactly as it should be. If there isn't any specific lore regarding a symbol then I create one based on what lore exists. If there is no lore at all then I get creative.
Yes the monogod symbols were an intentional choice. I didn't want them to just have shields like everyone else. I thought it would make them more otherworldly to use the mark of the gods as a base shape.

Understandable. For the new heraldry icons that are styled different from the vanilla icons, I assume you have to spend a large amount of time looking through lore sources and what not to find something fitting for the faction?

Also I have to say, I love how all the mono god faction banners are shaped like the mark of their respective god. It is an incredibly nice touch.

Thank you for the responses man no worries, still not expecting you to redo the whole mod or do a submod just for TWM as that was not the point of my post this is just a "PSA", still I use your mod for my other campaigns as it just makes the factions look better than vanilla.

Sorry if I came across a bit dismissive earlier... Long day... :) I have looked into it and the problem is that the TWM mod radically changes the Empire entries in the factions_tables database, which means that any mod that changes that specific entry won't work with the TWM mod.

Releasing an entire submod to accomodate for this would be a bit excessive as it would mean that I would have to release this entire mod twice with only one single file removed or edited. Instead I think it would be much better if the creator of the TWM mod simply changed it so that the Empire factions were 'new' factions that replace the standard Empire factions instead of using the vanilla entries.

Alternatively, you can open my mod locally yourself using RPFM and delete the factions_tables file. Just be aware that this will change the colours of ALL factions in the game back to their (incorrect) vanilla colours.

If its above the flags work but the problem persists,if its below the flags dont work still the problem still exist, which is a shame cause I think your flags suit the Vanilla and the TWM vibe better.

@RobinHat, I forgot to post a comment on the TWM page thanks for reminding me bro.

I just wanted to let you and other players know that even though its a cosmetic mod it's weird that it affects recruitment.

So if other players are experiencing the recruitment problem on not just TWM but on other unit or overhaul mods and like me with 300+ mods didn't expect a mod overhauling flags to cause a recruitment problem, and so this is to let others know to test if this mod is the one causing it.

PS this is not a complaint this is just a "PSA".

Did you comment on the TWM mod's page as well?
