These mods are extremely easy to make since you're just modifying XML files, so anyone who knows how to use Notepad can make these adjustments. I was extremely lazy with my implementation of this (i.e. I legit just copy/pasted then modified files from the original mods), but you can look at my changes on GitHub and mirror those to other EaW: Expanded mods
Link for giggles: https://github.com/slycooperpro/FoTR-GAR-Cheats/tree/main/Data/XML/Structures
But i have a question will there be more of these outside of Thrawns Revenge and Fall of the Republik like for Remake or other mods ?
Still working on a fix for that
I do have a CIS mod for this already made, search for FoTR CIS Cheats
This will prevent you from creating ground units on all planets as well as prevent you from creating ships on Kuat.
To undo this, please intentionally lower your infrastructure score to disable the bonuses provided by the event. A fix will be coming soon, which will likely be a reduction in the discount provided by this mod.
Factions File: Change space pop cap, how fast to build units, reduce prices
Space + Ground files you can change the Upkeep to zero, change population points, health, shields, damage, number of fighters/bombers spawn, remove build limits, and more.
Basically do some google research and YT vids help, it's how I learned
Might be a good idea for me to go give that one a poke since I can replicate the issue there no problem. But maybe not, I did just find where the unit costs are described for each unit, so I could try tinkering with that first
If I find anything, I'll let you know
Thanks for the info, this actually helped me a lot! Let me know if you have any info or if you can find an error log from corruption/Logs in the games root directory.
Once I'm able to replicate the issue, I should be able to figure out the cause and fix it. I'm thinking I'll have to dump my workshop files and resubscribe to everything to see what's happening. I'm thinking that a conflict between FoTR and mine occurs when new units get unlocked on the planet, but doesn't become a problem until after a save reloads.
Worst case scenario, I plan on redoing how the cheats are applied anyways. I'm wanting to make them toggle-able via research/political choice instead of just being applied directly to the planet/buildings
