i decompiled the world model of the smg, imported it into blender and i parented the weapon bone to the citizens model

I used crowbar to decompile the female_shared.mdl, then imported it into blender, edited the animation, exported it, and recompiled it

It worked? The base Half Life 2 is using the corrected MapBase animations now? If yes can say how you ported? It doesn't need to be detailed explanation if just say the tools and what files to look I can try and figure out the rest =P

Thanks, man. Since you're taking the time to at least look into it, I’ll try to help by pointing out again that the Mapbase tool—and Entropy : Zero 2 (which I believe is based on Mapbase)—already includes the corrected animations for the soldiers, so you don’t need to redo them from scratch.

I also want to mention that fixing the citizens' shotgun animations will probably be a nightmare. So, I’d suggest simply using Alyx's shotgun animations for all citizens. As far as I know, there are no issues with those, unlike the default animations for soldiers, rebels, and citizens.

Oh man, thank you! I tried to fix it myself, but I'm just too dumb. It would be a dream come true if you were the one to finally fix this! xD xD

Awesome! I love these kind of little fixes :)

Could you do the same for the Combine Soldiers and Elites?

They have a lot of errors in their animations with their weapons, spawn a soldier with the smg and look at his iddle stance and with the AR2 the iddle stance and his shooting animations.

I'm not describing cause it would a big wall of text :/

Entropy Zero 2 or MapBase have their animations fixed so it would be just porting them to HL2 ,but dont know how hard it is to do this

Anyway awesome mod :D
