Maybe for a expression mod, you should do a grimace (pain expression) mod. Everytime you get damaged, you do a pained expression, and you can set it to have a damage meter. For example; if you take 10 damage, you make a slight expression, if you take 50+ damage, you do a heavy pained expression. Or, of you low health, the expression gets harden and more pained.
