Adding this comment to let everybody subbed to the thread know that I've launched another update.

This update is strongly focused on adding portraits to vanilla generals/admirals that were missing them. I didn't cover all those characters, but I got plenty of them.

I have no plans for a next update. Making high-quality portraits takes a lot of time, so don't expect this mod to be updated (at least, with new content) so soon. I'll probably make a compatibility update once Paradox releases the new DLC.

@msukhets I'll consider adding some of them eventually. I've been pretty busy lately, so I really don't think I'll be updating the mod as frequently as I used to.

@ArtMocha Understood, no worries. I am not angry, just was curious. I love playing as Czechoslovakia and China (not communist one), any new and polished content for these countries would be welcome.

@GeneralMacek Since Paradox announced the next DLC will be focused on East Asian countries, I won't really be doing anything for them until the DLC comes out.

@ArtMocha I see, thank you for telling me. I stopped using them and without any major rework mods, the mod works as intended.

Would there be any Nationalist Chinese generals added in the future?

@GeneralMacek Most likely yes. I don't know how was Historial Portraits developed, but I know some files used by both mods are the same, so it's very likely they'll conflict.

I understand that you have your own ideas and many other requests, but it would be great if you could add General Yan Borisovich Gamarnik to the Soviet Union. He has never been implemented in any mod.

Is it possible that the mod conlficts with Historical Portraits? Because when I started my campaign as Czechoslovakia, no changes to generals were made.

@Alexander.Scott Does it reduce the total number of Polish generals? Which generals are you missing? Aren't you running any other mods?

I did notice that I made a mistake with the coding of 3 new Polish generals (which I'm working to fix), but still that shouldn't be reducing the total number of Polish generals initially available.

Yes, it's really sad, but there's nothing to be done.

@msukhets Not much to be honest. This mod has gotten way more content than I expected.

Next updates will probably be more focused on keeping it functional rather than adding more content. I don't plan on abandoning it, but I just find it difficult now to justify spending so much time making portraits.

Having said that, I did record the video about advisor portraits. Currently editing it. Not sure when it will be posted though.

@msukhets I've been thinking about doing it. But then i remembered there are some pretty good tutorials about full-sized portraits, like the ones from Limonny, PoorBananaMan27 and ThatHOI4PortraitGuy.

So i thought about making a tutorial for advisor portraits instead, since that's often overlooked by modders, can be done quite easily and is uses a lot of the same ideas that I apply in my full-sized portraits. I have the script of it done, so it's very likely I'll do it and post on Youtube, Reddit and Steam.

Could you make a tutorial video?

@Captain Groovy ツ I use GIMP for most of the process and Stable Diffusion for enhancing/upscaling bad quality pictures.

Good job with Albania. Personally, I'd give less considering the country's importance. But good job.

@msukhets Not really. Mainly in the case of smaller countries with poorly described generalizations, like Belgium, the Netherlands, etc. I don't like their way of writing surnames first. It makes copying difficult. Plus, they write bare facts like positions, promotions, and assignments. It's useless when creating skills and adding traits. I generally advise against it. Asking questions in the GPT chat is a better option. However, I use Wikipedia to compile officer lists and available literature to determine skills.
