Warning: If you save your bandits under "local", they may be overwritten with a blank file if this mod crashes (which it eventually will).

Make backups of your locally saved bandits and clans each time you make a change (location written in mod description above).

One question: is it possible to disable clans without deleting them nor changing their spawning chance?

Something like a simple on/off switch for each clan... ;-)

this mod need some fixing....after you created your own custom bandit and you planning to add more, it just wont let you anymore afterwards

Suggestion: A way to remove the icon that shows a bandit is nearby; Make a bandit clan 100% chance to spawn, but only once that day (to create bosses); non loteable bandits

Are you able to disable clans? I only want to use one or two, tried editing the clans text file and deleting everything but crashed the game.

@lasagna larry Bandits spawn like zeds, they spawn in a certain distance from the player only maybe like 300 tiles, so no they wont spawn in other towns, otherwise CPUs would be blowing up

I think it would be really helpful to know the spawning behaviour of these behaviours. Neither bandit mod pages go into any detail. Are any of them global, meaning bandits may spawn in Westpoint when I'm all the way in Muldraugh? Or are they all just local and spawn around you? Does it vary between behaviours? Is it only in unseen/unexplored areas or can they spawn in your base? Is there any sort of timer system for bandits spawning in areas you've just been to i.e. I just looted the school in the morning, suddenly there's defenders camped up there in the evening? Or it's purely rolling a spawn chance for each of them every hour and selecting a random behaviour type that they have? Or do the behaviours combine, can they spawn with Defender and Assault behaviour, meaning they will leave a base and come raid yours?

@Phrax I agree. "Wanderer" seems to be the typical randomly spawning bandits somewhere in the world just doing their own thing. "Defenders" are bandits that will base at locations, they seem to barricade with sheet metal or planks and will aggro you if you come near or enter their base. "Roadblock" seems to be an event that spawns near the player, or it may spawn randomly throughout the world I'm not sure, but my experience was having bandits with various traffic blockades/hurdles blocking a roadway, with a car parked also horizontally somewhat blocking the roadway, and they aggro you if you get close to it. Friendly... I didn't see any default clans being tagged with this but they are presumably just friendlies-- I have read from others that they can aggro you pretty easily if you accidentally shove or damage them. Assault seems to be raids that home in on your location. No idea what Campers are, maybe an outdoorsy version of Defenders, not sure if they are aggressive.

Is there a way I can reset the values to normal? I tweaked the values to fit a 10 years later playthrough but now Im getting fully geared bandits a week before the apocalypse

I don't understand how you spent such an immense amount of time and energy into creating this mod but still failed to explain what each of the behavior tooltips actually mean. What exactly is "Defender"?

is there a way to reset the bandit clans? i removed all of the pre existing clans and made my own to fit a wilderness challenge and now i cant get the original clans back.

ive disabled and unsubbed from the mod and im still getting my primitive clans spawning and nothing else, Anyone know a way to fix this?

any idea whats causing errors with hostile bandit clans i created with minimal mods? errors come in bursts when theyre around me maybe something to do with the spawn ai like hostiles cant be defenders or something?

Same trouble here, what spawn settings means ?? Defender / camper / wanderer, what's the difference ? I set lot's of clan to be defender/camper only, they still spawn and rush on me like freakings Z with a gps point on my head...
And i guess the spawn rate isn't working too, or we can't make them spawn with a 0.5% chance ?

Otherwise, i love it, it make the game fells living

:cherrypie:Just wanted to say thanks for all the work you’ve put into BanditsV2. It really adds new life and tension to Project Zomboid — the encounters feel unpredictable and make the world so much more alive.

I do have a question though: when editing the bandit properties, I was trying to set them up so they’re only hostile when defending their own base. No matter what I change, they still spawn as wanderers, roadblockers, or raiders. Is this a bug, or could it be because I’m setting too many defense bandits? Or maybe “defense” in my settings means something different than the mod’s “defense” system?

Either way, thank you again for all the hard work and dedication — this mod is incredible.

I have a problem, when I create a clan, in build 41 it works perfectly singleplayer but when I do it online, the ones I create do not appear

edit seems to be fixed if anyone else has the same issue in the future try making bandits and bandits creator at the top of ur load order worked for me if it dosnt work for u idk
