As for Vietcong 2, I have some ideas regarding the VC campaign and I want to keep it as a surprise.
Right now, I'm not sure if I will create further campaigns for Arma 3 after VC2, since it's basically a one-man project and it takes a lot of time. It's possible that I'll eventually move on to Arma: Reforger or Arma 4, we'll see the next year. Right now I'm finishing up work on VC SP and a major update for both COOP campaigns.
For Vietcong 2 SP will it also include the VC Mini Campaign?
Besides Vietcong will you also do other classic Vietnam shooter games like Conflict Vietnam?

For example, my AI skill is set to 0.8 and its accuracy to 0.5
I use this for all campaigns I play, both vanilla and user-made.
But no matter what difficulty you prefer, never forget:
Objective markers must be always turned on!

Currently, I plan to remake only the Vietcong series into Arma 3, since I have to redo everything manually and that takes a lot of time. Besides, the Vietcong games are abandonware, but Men of War: Vietnam is still actively being sold, which could get me into legal trouble.
Howdy. Although the chance of this happening is very small, I am aware that this can happen in some rare cases. Sadly, helicopters are kinda problematic to handle in every Arma game, and there is no completely bulletproof solution to this.
In my experience, the most likely reason is the danger near the landing zone, or reload during the landing sequence.
If this happens, you don't have to reload. Simply order your team to board the helicopter, which will force it to land at the nearest suitable location. Once you're in, the heli will move to the next waypoint.

Had some problems with the exfil helo landing in the final mission. It never landed and had to reload a save to make it work. It was either our group being too close to the LZ or the helo being distracted by nearby enemies. Maybe a new waypoint for a "standby" in a nearby crater would fix the first. As for the second, well, it's Arma being Arma, I guess. That would require even more babysitting of the helo.
As said, good job, in any case. I can't imagine the amount of hours, sweat and tears this cost you :D

Although the original VC game is no longer available for purchase, you can still find it somewhere online. I fully recommend for you to try it one day, it aged incredibly well!

Howdy. While I agree that what you say makes sense, I tried to be "somewhat" faithful to the original games. To make it more clear...
M2 Carbine:
- Not present in any VC game (VC, VC:FA, VC2)
- As such, not present in my Fist Alpha campaign
- Added mid-game to my Vietcong campaign for balance
M16:
- Not present in the Vietcong: Fist Alpha game
- As such, not present in my Fist Alpha campaign
- It's first canon appearance is in the "Brush and Sweep" mission in the Vietcong game
- As such, added in Mission 7 in my Vietcong campaign
The developers justified this decision with poor logistics.
I decided to stay true to that logic in Fist Alpha, to offer a different kind of experience to the player.
And to be fair, when I'll make Vietcong 2, it will be a total gunfest.
