pretty strong faction, managed to kill a cruiser or 2 with another large ship anchored at my main space station but a third cruiser shot my fighter and the game just instantly crashed.

"This would be easy" I thought "they just look cool, nothing else" I thought. I was oblivious, dumb, and insane, They one shot my carrier, deleted my corvette, and crashed my game, these aliens are gods in physical form, coming back to destroy the pieces left of our ships.

I mean it sounds lore accurate that a necron particle whip will pierce shields and just obliterate my heavily armored warship, but for gameplay and balancing reasons i cant bring myself to use this atm. Necrons are no joke lol. Fantastic mod still :steamthumbsup:

Absurdly over tuned necron ships. Tried 3 different shield mods, necron weapons bypass them all or one shot them. Their energy whips are simply stupid, one swipe just deletes dozens of heavy armor blocks. And their armor is equally dumb, a head on shot with the biggest Aryx fuckoff super cannon the Kinglance at 9x5x60 barely punched through the first layer of the Cairn armor. Some of the smaller ships are good challenge but the GC and BS are awful. Not my thing when you add a dozen zeros to block config numbers for challenge.

The reason this guys shields get 1shot by this mod is because of how the old shield mods work. A lot of the Necron weapons are AoE and the ancient shield mod he's using calculates the damage absorbed per block hit, not as a singular damage value. When an AoE shot from a necron hits, it's hitting multiple blocks therefore doing damage to the shield multiplied by how many different blocks were hit. This results in the shields getting taken down in 1 shot.

Another problem is when a long battle starts dropping fps to 9. And even after clearing the world, 9-11 fps remains. It is necessary to restart the game after the battle.

I figured it out, the problem is not the weapon. I used the mod for energy shields, they are weaker than the mod Defense Shields. The NPCs knocked out the shield very quickly, it seemed like the shield wasn't working. :D

PLEASE find for me exactly what weapons against what kinds of shields in a reproducible way. I just now went through every weapon after seeing your comment to check, and every weapon has a ShieldBypassModifier=0.

Hello. I confirm that the mod is non-functional. I 'repaired' it a bit with a 'sledgehammer,' and it seems the Necrons started appearing. However, since the mod isn’t mine, I can’t upload it. I’ll try to contact the author, but the language barrier is an issue (my native language is Russian).

Cant seem to get any spawns going. Other MES Encounter mods works fine, but this wont spawn anything even if its the only active MES mod.

im not getting anything... DX idk what happen, like, weeks ago i was getting interceptors, Monoliths, and the boss events, but ever since, either the update to the mod or the DLC/update of the game, nothing is spawning but the vanilla stuff

It's saying the spawn groups are "Admin spawn only" how do I disable this? Is there a config I need to edit? A command I need to use?

Huh, they shouldn't spawn on Pertam at all. Most ground spawns don't do well on that planet. I'll just explicitly blacklist it.

Also was nobody going to tell me that I forgot to let the Destroyers shoot at characters??? That should be fixed next upload too.

I think that I have encountered a bit of a bug. Specifically, I am using this mod on a multiplayer server, and I've got a base on PERTAM. Every time a Necron ship spawns nearby, they almost immediately *nosedive* straight into the nearest canyon and crash.

Every single small-grid ship that's spawned has displayed this behavior. Is there a possibility that either Pertam's Canyons confuse the AI ... OR their thruster systems are not designed for 1.2G of gravity?

Do the Power Matrix Crystals have any use? A few fighters hit my base and I got 50 of them... but I can't seem to find anything to do with them?

@Drach'nyen Sorry for the late reply. We are pretty sure it's a "Line" projectile. We dont know what could be causing it but a workaround that so far has been working is lowering our simulation range back down to default which is like 3km? We did have it at 15km so all the weapons we have could actively be used to their full potential. But we'll stick with this until hopefully we can figure out why this could be happening

@ZoomBomb As stated in the Important Info at the top, they are balanced with modded weapons and defenses in mind, so yes they are very durable if you only have vanilla weapons.

@Dots You need a good PC to run SE in general I feel like, especially if you build a big. That said, some of the larger enemy grids will lag you when spawning in regardless of how good your PC is.

@PsychoX AFAIK this is a Darth-related thing but i'll give my two cents

iirc the max range for the dirge weapons is 3,5km since they only have Arcs instead of Whips, can you describle the projectile? Was it a "line" or a bolt of green lightining?
In my worlds they are behaving as they're supposed to so idk

Had a quick question. My friends and I we're noticing the Dirge Scouts being able to shoot from 6km straight through asteroids and pinpoint hit our bases reactors through armor. It doesnt damage the asteroid or the armor. This seems a little out of whack cause when those same ships get closer the shots start landing on the asteroids surface so we're assuming its some render problem. But we dont know in the end, any idea to avoid this would be great thank you

@w yes there are commands, first you gotta do MES.GESAP, it'll copy all stuff that you can spawn at your current threat level to the clipboard (just paste it on notepad) so basically

MES.SRE [inset code provided by the GESAP paste]

as for bosses, try increasing your threat level by building heavier stuff (trust me, you'll need it to survive the bosses), after roaming around for a bit you should see a "massive necron threat" or "world-ending necron threat" marker

im pretty sure there are spawn commands for the bosses but i just dont recall them now, you'll hve to ask Darth
