Can confirm, this makes the menu and various other UI unuseable. You can't click to apply settings; if you get a totally unrelated error message in the Editor you won't be able to dismiss it (button doesn't work). Both in profiling and normal versions of the game.

Returns to normal after mod is removed.

heyo, putting in an update. Since the 2.2 update this mod breaks base game regardless if you're on profiling or not. it's been pretty consistent in breaking peoples games. At this point, this mod is unusable.

Which sucks since this has always been my go to for facepaint. Thank you for all years mate and hopefully someone is able to take a look into this and fix it.

That is terrible. Profiling things have no place in the maingame. That's what the branch is for.
The problem is I've been out of modding for years and Dedmen's list of what the mod does wrong doesn't help. I'm not going to start learning ArmaModding again after more than 6 years.
That's why I released it from the no edit.
If you or someone else can fix the bugs, feel free.
I'm just happy that the mod ran for almost 11 years without any problems.

Hey, Camofaces makes Problems with Arma Update 2.20. its Brake the UI and Game in Menü =Missing buttoms and a lot of more problems. Error Message on Menü its like No Entry 'bin/config.bin/RscDisplayMain/controls/TitleSinglePlayer.TextureNoShortcut' In Multiplayer its it like no Entry 'bin/config.bin/RscDisplayMultiplayerSetup/controls/CA_B_EnableAll.text' I hope u can fix it or somebody can help u on it if u are still in Armamodding the mod was very nice like a old Friend for me thank u

Same issue here with me while using the profiling branch. Just switched to default base game branch and had no issues. So the profiling branch is the odd ball.

@sudodski That is a relief. To more years of trouble-free operation. Because I was particularly mindful of that. Small in size and stable for a long time.

This mod breaks the Arma UI when using the Profiling branch. Font reverts to the old version, and the arsenal scrollbar is whited out.

i will try again in future and see if a arma 3 update stabilises things

haha ive just tooks days tracking the cause of that error too haha. unable to play arma since Thursday. wierd random game break. cant press ok on any pop up. even wen loaded game str8 into editor the world would break on preview

The mod adds a broken config in dialog/config.cpp

1. CfgPatches classname is duplicated with the main config one's. Every config needs to have a unique name
2. CfgPatches has no requiredAddons, even though the UI dialog depends on "Ui_f"
3. Instead of forward declaring the base classes for the UI controls, the config re-defines alot of UI controls, using outdated contents, breaking a bunch of things (like the OK/Cancel buttons)
4. While it redefines the classes, it never sets the correct base-class, meaning it's definitions conflict with the base-game ones, and cause the base-game ones to be deleted and replaced with these new broken ones.
4. It even overwrites config classes, that the UI dialog itself never even uses (like the OK/Cancel buttons)

this is a great mod, but is causing a lot of errors

I encountered an issue with the mod loaded. The "Okay", "Cancel" button from my arma 3 menu, Video , audio settings disappears ,even when joining multiplayer server. these buttons are gone. I have narrowed down my mods to this mod causing it. Any ideas how or can this mod be updated as it is a great mod to have.

I tell it like it is. Currently I don't plan any updates for this mod. Since the original artist no longer has source files for the faces I can't use them. From any offered cooperation nothing has become either. And those were not few. I give it up. Everybody who likes can draw camofaces and build them as he likes. Source citation would be nice. NOT ALLOWED ARE PURE REUPLOADS.

P.P.S. If you provide the source textures I can add it to all available DLC faces + some and then send them to you if you would like to include them into the mod.

P.S. With the source files I was mainly referring to the camouflage textures before they are applied to faces.

I have a custom face that is based off of one of the halliwell face, is there anyway to can make my custom face compatible? All it would have to do is switch from my custom one to whatever the camos are that you have set for Halliwell already.
