that would only happen if you had an addon that replaced the map after said dream sequence,
"Combine Assassin in Contact Aberration" could obviously be the problem.

The game just refuses to load after the dream sequence because the next map where bad cop wakes up does not recognize the bsp (got this from an error in the console)
