I have given up hope personally, but it's worth checking back for the next big update I reckon.

Guys do we know if the modder is going to fix the crash problem someday ? It's the only roman overhaul mod I like bruh

Very ambitious and well planned mod but, unfortunately it crashes a lot and is unplayable past a certain point, typically the formation of the Western Roman Empire

dude you need to update I tried to play this while on a different update 1.16.1 the update where it says it works but it continues to crash

@ronanschell6 same thing happened to me, and i thought that definitively showed that the mod infact did not work. Trust me i tried everything, and nothing fixed the broken date, until.
after reloading to a save 5 years earlier, i managed to get past the date without issue, and have been playing the mod for centuries since with no issues whatsoever. So a good rule of thumb is to make a save every few years in case this happens.
If anyone wants to see my load order, i'd be happy to dm a picture.

@hunte006 that doesnt happen for me. I will be playing and then it will crash on some random day. I then log back in and it crashes on that same day no matter what difference I make. sometimes Im not even at war so no troops are being raised.

Something involving having the new units raised is causing the mod to crash very commonly.

So after doing some testing, i've actually found this mod to be working with the present version, and most other mods (i have quite a big playlist). The only mod i found that it conflicts with and breaks the game, is the mod "cultural names". I have no idea why, but there you go.

This must be something have problems ,will lead to frequent crash ,but it may not modifying culture ,I delete it , the crash also hanppen

The crash might be caused by issues when modifying culture.

Hi @Matthew. Another bug I found is Valentinian III has a mother Galla Placidia with ID 91111 which is the same ID with João Afonses of Portugal. Instead of using ID you could change the ID of Galla Placidia to Galla_Placidia

Is there any plans of adding other roman cultures like Gallo-Roman?

@Matthew Hi. I just wanna tell you that before you update this mod at 11 May 9:13pm, it worked fine to me. I have the background issue fixed when I copy interface folder from vanilla game and paste it in your mod.

Just coming here to echo the fact that the mod causes crashes as well as causes random African nations and cultures to spawn all over Asia, at least on the version I'm playing. (1.15.0)

The game keeps crashing. I'm not sure why, a save starts crashing continuously at a determined date. I tried turning off the ai and it crashed just a few days later than with the ai on. I'm trying to play a vanilla game and it doesn't crash so it must be from the mod.
