Does the CAS super carrier have a health bar? I had a fleet(15 capitals, 4 heroes, ~50 fighters, frigates, and corvettes) attack only it and never saw if it had even damaged the shield.

There is an instant defeat softlock on planets with only 1 build slot and no troops. If you have no troops and build an outpost you get an instant we have been defeated dialogue, but the unit lost screen never appears. Loading the auto-save loads the start of the battle, meaning if you have no backup save, your campaign end right there.
Also many insurgent bases have a squadron of non active, yet invulnerable fighters requiring a retreat which usually destroy an untouched capital ship. Still better than auto-resolve, the one time I tried it I lost 5 capital(Epoch?, the 11K tier 0) ships, and support fleet against the same 4 inactive fighter.

@GrandMasterApple — I’ve run into the game getting down to 0.00fps on my 9070 XT starting from a couple of updates ago. It used to never do that. Not even with 1000 unit cap. Can you work on that?

I have enabled bitlocker so if that hampers the game, let me know. Please respond when you can.

Yes, I agree that a high level of difficulty is needed, but you can make it so that you can choose the difficulty levels, otherwise I just don't have time to enjoy the detailed combat, destruction, and I'm already surrounded by numbers, and I don't even have time to develop the station. @Arthur_Pendragon if you want to use the Infinity against the CSO make sure you do it at a long range, the Infinity needs to use it's four super MACs to be a real threat against something that big and they only fire forwards.

theres an <active_plot> xml file missing from the evolved covie ai file which causes it to crash. if you know your way around EAW xml files you can just replace it with the covie generic ai file but swapping "random" for "setup_generic". i did that and it worked for me. however i SERIOUSLY dont recommend it unless you know what youre doing, the mod author is very active and theyll probably have it fixed in no-time
