Maybe you will learn something by goblin method, what I mean is it's by scavenging something from existing things ...and while at that using some backward engineering methods (at least that's how I learn most things :/ ).

Anyway here's two mods you colud try to find how to that;
1. "Zhatan The Black Reskin (Character / Faction Color)"
2. "Astragoth and Drazhoath faction color swap (outdated, use my all in one mod instead)"

I got help with the coloring a bit, not entirely sure how to retexture myself yet but once I do sure, still new to modding
