The mod works normally; you may just have to install it manually. I was able to use it on my G-Portal server without any problems until the bug occurred.

At least for me, the game always crashes whenever I touch anything related to this mod. This mainly happened with the chests or the granary where the seeds from the mod were stored, as well as the lost items, which also contained the fields from the mod. The fields themselves didn't cause any other problems. Unfortunately, I had to remove them from the server because of this.

I tried the mod with pineapple. It grows but no pineapple is getting delivered to the plant boxes (or the one marked only for pineapple). The tribesman harvesting it is just carrying around like 900 pineapples.... same thing happened when I tried bananas.
