So, as I've written under the T-55HL mod, I was too occupied with mod-making to actually come up with semi-consistent lore; as well as that the Gierek-Man mod was basically made due to the meme that circulated in the polish Half-Life community, noting the """"similarities"""" of his facial features to G-Man's.
But, It wouldn't really be that difficult to come up with explainations, especially based on the real-world events. Near the end of his rule, there definitely was growing resistance within the party against him. After all, he was removed from power, arrested and sent to an internment camp when the Martial Law was imposed. And it is also theorised that the heart attack he suffered in 1980 was directly caused by the Security Service, as a preemptive response to his supposedly planned meeting with Lech Wałęsa.
So, knowing all that, It wouldn't really be that surprising to see him wanting revenge on Jaruzelski and, by and large, the PRL.
