If that doesn't work, Replace All 'Uniform' for 'Soldier' and see if that works, as I'm not sure which name it requires for a whitelist (I'm assuming the classname under cfgWeapons, which is '_Uniform'.)
You /can/ run it without ACE, but do so at your own risk.
In HEAT, they use the M723, a CAR-15 varient.
Trust me.
Plus ACE-AX has a hard dependency on ACE.
In case you don't know how to do that.
1. Make a new folder inside the unpacked PBO folder
2. Call the Folder 'ACE_COMPAT' and make a config.cpp with the ACE related config in there.
3. In CfgPatches: use skipWhenMissingDependencies = 1; (see: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/CfgPatches for more info)
4. Pack it up and ACE is now Optional (this simply means more people get to use it!)
