Yes, in fact they are the main cause of most crashes is mods that are not optimized or just blatantly overkill on graphics and quality

aahhh that makes sense since the game engine can barely spit out anything with high details, speaking of which, does high detailed mods can cause the game to randomly crashing??

I'm not an expert, but basically the model was the official model in perfect detail, which is overkill for l4d2. Compressing it does change the quality, but it's so hard to see the difference. Hence no side effect other than just less mb usage, and a different icon.

but doesnt compression usually comes with some side effect? yours looks almost the same as orginal
