I want to make additional artwork. How can I make my own asset pack like this? Our mod lists do not overlap, so I don't want to annoy you for coding each time a new portrait is added.

What you mean? If you mean technical incompatibility due to which errors occur, then it is likely that this is an incompatible original mod, since this one is directly related to the original.
