From my understanding, DUO incorporates some features of this mod into itself. I would advise against using both EAWNT and DUO unless someone makes a compatibility patch.

Hello, there is a bug with this mod and Dashie's Ultimate Overhaul that causes your helicopter category to completely crash when the other mod is active, as well as the airplane section.

Also, it might help if you join a HOI4 modding discord or just join the EAW discord, they might have a modding channel in there or equivalent that can give you some pointers.

There's a series on youtube that goes over the basics of HOI4 modding, as well as an official wiki made by Paradox. I recommend you use VSCode with the Paradox Highlight extension as well. After that, you want to make your own mod and copy in the files that both mods use, then use VSCode to edit those files and combine the technologies that both mods edit or add.

Go to steamapps/workshop/content/394360 and delete the EAW (1826643372) and EAWNT (3450885370) folders, then unsubscribe and resubscribe to both mods. If the new special projects still aren't showing up, then it will be an issue with another mod.

I have tried literally everything I can thiink of but for some reason all the new special projects won't show up in game with this mod.

Which special projects are you referring to? I just checked in game and the ones added in the newest update (Infantry Mobility Vehicles, Hardened Missile Silos) are showing up.

Should be, this mod only modifies the air projects file so I copied that over when I updated to the latest EAW version.

I think so, Project Phoenix only changes the BBA air techs. If you load it before EAWNT then it should work.

Probably not. The new update added some technologies and changed existing ones, so I'll need to go through the files and make sure everything is compatible. I'll try to get an update out this weekend.

Oh yea maybe I should remove that. No compatibility exists with E84 yet so IDK why I put it in there, I think I might've just been future-proofing just in case someone made a patch for it. Apologies for getting your hopes up.

Hey, loaded this up with E84 (which you use as an example for the load order, so I assumed compatible) - and I have one research slot, cannot open the menu, it "flickers". Tagging over to another nation has a fully functional tree, and tagging BACK to say, the USSR shows that it is researching stuff in its single slot.

Not sure what's up with that.

I'm currently trying out the mod with all of the major DLC except Gotterdammerung. So I have the Helicopter tab available, but it is empty. If I notice anything big I'll tell you here. I do really like the way the tech tree is organized, though. Especially the Air tree. The placement of techs there was all over the place regarding time and position.

Fair enough. I only mention it because I know not everyone's gonna be able to afford the DLCs. I've tried to make EAWNT compatible with vanilla but I ran out of steam before I could accomplish that, so I've just given up on vanilla compatibility for now. I think I'll start working on EAWNT again once the next DLC comes out so I can also fix any compatibility issues with it.

I will admit that that is a comment I never expected to hear. XD Though I do tend to shy away from that. I am woefully ignorant about that side of things, and also paranoid.

Granted, Paradox doesn't deserve full price for something like that. The price is double what it should be as a baseline. Part of the reason why I stopped playing every other Paradox game.

They're all battalions. The primary difference between vanilla is that I've given logistics and attack helicopter battalions their own helicopter equipment type (logistics helicopters, attack helicopters) so you're not just building a single experimental helicopter.

I initially planned for helicopter battalions, but the mod I was using as a balancing reference (TNO) removed them a while back due to their own balancing issues surrounding them. It would take a lot of testing to get them right, and I did not have the time to do so during development.

Personally, I would just pirate the DLC; though if you have the money I guess you could support paradox.

I am curious about the Helicopter techs, as I do not own Gotterdammerung. Is the Attack Heli a Battalion or a Support Company?

And how do the rest of the technologies differ from the three new techs added into the base game's Support Companies technology tree?

I've been on the fence about getting the DLC, but I have a fondness for helicopters, so if Attack Helis are battalions, I'd be slightly more incentivized to buy it just to use them.

I suppose I should mention I am using the plane designer and tank designer mods, while trying to use the setup instructions as best as I can, I just tried a test to see if the two mods were conflicting but it seems to be the plane designer mod itself that's causing the issue.

Yeah, I have to report I'm also getting the bugged tech trees, but I love this modset way too much to sacrifice that idea for any reason whatsoever, so playing with bugged visuals it is :D

@Cat_pod_travoi, they're essentially just reskinned motherships. However, I did buff their stats a bit as well as add some extra resources to their cost. I hope you enjoy them.

@TheThing, there is a high likelihood that my mod is spontaneously combusting for unknown reasons. I haven't looked at it for many decades now. I can only hope that it spontaneously fixes itself for you 👍

I really hope that heavy airship will add a full-fledged constructor. I'm dreaming about 10 machines with 200-500 defense and 250+ attack, with a price tag of 1000 hammers. It immediately reminds me of old science fiction books. I'm really looking forward to it, of course, if the author wants it. I'm just a mortal who will wait for an answer.

I am having the same issues and as far as I know none of my mods affect the tech tree, unless adding MIOs is counted as editing it

Make sure you have all of the DLCs listed in the requirements, as well as that any mods you have don't overwrite the tech tree or have compatibility patches if they do.
