yeah, you can say you can spam weapons all over a ship and cover your blind spots, but ultimately you are devoting more resources to covering your vulnerabilities than you are exploting your enemy's. it is inefficient, and a small ship piloted skillfully is vastly superior
I hold a strong belief that large ships need only 10% of it's interior to actually be habitable. Cuts down on grav gen power requirements, y'know?

also, deactivating all mods except armor ramps, engines, and railguns would help to clean out the interior while not affecting the exterior
