Could you add a option to remove the pain idealized precept requirement for the pain driven passion or add the masochist trait as a supplement requirement, please?
Veskaida 8 sep om 15:50
Wow this is a great mod. Doesn't completely change how passions works, but adds a splash of gameplay diversity instead of the more binary "passion/no passion" of vanilla. Great addition to any playthrough!

v2.101:

Added code so the forbidden passion hediff removes itself every hour if no forbidden passion is found on that pawn
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 6 sep om 6:34
Thanks, that narrows it down: the game removed the passion, but not the hediff. I'll add a timer to make the hediff remove itself.
Lno 6 sep om 0:03
I did what you said and hediff is there, and I also started the game with just this mod and its dependencies, and I think I found the problem: when forbidden passion is applied to a skill that the pawn is incapable of, it loses its icon.
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 5 sep om 23:45
You need to specify "show hidden hediffs" in the pawn's health tab

I'd also need to know if this is happening with just this mod active, as so far I've been unable to replicate it. The hediff is only added if the pawn has this passion, and the thought only happens if the pawn has the hediff
Lno 5 sep om 23:42
I turned on dev mode and there is no hediff, if that is the correct way to do it
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 5 sep om 22:38
And will you answer my question?
Lno 5 sep om 18:12
@Futstub the same happens to me, there is no forbidden passion in any skill
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 2 sep om 1:29
Do they have the forbidden passion hediff?
Futstub 2 sep om 1:23
Some of my pawns get the -5 mood debuff from the forbidden passion, even though they do not have a forbidden passion. Anybody knows what's up with that?
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 30 aug om 9:01
Use mod options for VE Skills
NashEQ 30 aug om 8:26
can i deactivate the new passions and just use the new expertises?
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 29 aug om 7:11
Yeah, this is just a content add-on
Alex_ 29 aug om 6:46
And the mod options are in the Vanilla Skills Expanded menu, not in their own window.
Bustly 27 aug om 0:30
cool cool
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 26 aug om 23:08
Yes, mod options
Bustly 26 aug om 21:09
there a way (preferably without cherry picker) to add the new expertises but not the new passions?
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 25 aug om 6:09
Yes
XGGJI1 25 aug om 6:09
The -5 mood from forbidden passion is added via a Hediff, which is a hidden Hediff. When you remove forbidden passion using the character editor, the Hediff remains. Of course, you can also remove it directly with the character editor.
GiPSyFiSH 23 aug om 0:46
Yes new expertises, nah to new passions? Option? don't pee on anything please.
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 6 aug om 14:06
Yeah, that's a bug
Misterdino Prime 6 aug om 10:38
so, a pawn without forbidden passion is having their debuff, thats very strange
Syamix 6 aug om 9:08
I see what alijons is saying. I'm experiencing it too. What is happening is that pawns are getting the mood debuff for a forbidden skill without having a forbidden passion on any skills. I've been trying to troubleshoot what's causing it because not every pawn is experiencing this.
alijons 1 aug om 16:39
I am sorry, in don't think I explained well 😅 that pawn is capable of every job. All the backgrounds for childhood and adulthood they have sound pretty neutral. No skill has any passion at all. Like, its most mundane pawn ever.

I do not get which "passion" is forbidden for them. They do not even have any passion at all in the first place.

They do not have anything they are incapable of either.

That's why I am amusing they are getting that mood debuff by some kind of error, and I am asking how it can be removed or diagnosed.

If this IS how it's intended then I genuinely don't get it. Is there someplace in pawn's info where I can check which skill they consider to be forbidden?
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 1 aug om 14:25
" I don't understand why they have that -5 to mood"

Well, because I wanted it to work that way?
alijons 1 aug om 14:20
Is there any way to remove this "forbidden passion" thing from a pawn? I made one using character editor, I don't understand why they have that -5 to mood. They are capable of everything and don't have any passions for anything they cannot do.
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 1 aug om 1:09
No idea, try
Naucetaaq 31 jul om 13:51
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how this works in the background and how it interacts with genes that add and remove passions. First which gets generated on a pawn first? Does the gene passions come first then can be replaced by one of these or vice versa? If skill genes can add passion, are the capable of adding any of the "positive" passions from here rather than the default ones or are they restricted? Curious to know if I mess around with skill genes if I can add a vengeful passion or a toxic passion for my attempt at a waster.
toetruckthetrain 25 jul om 20:05
mindfulness is cool and a really creative idea, thats all i have to say
theothersteve7 24 jul om 14:57
@Radish After editing passions using a character editor, make sure to go into the character's hediffs as well. You can remove the forbidden passion hediff to fix it. It's a "hidden" hediff.
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 21 jul om 22:55
Yeah, it can literally be any other mod!
Turambar 21 jul om 13:53
Well, in my game (with 200+ mods) it does :D Could the pawn generation rules preventing that be overriden by another mod?

I dont' think I have other mods impacting passions, apart from Vanilla Passions Expanded ofc
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 21 jul om 8:30
They shouldn't appear in non Sanguophage pawns
Turambar 21 jul om 7:41
Hey Sarg, is there a way to prevent "Sanguine" passions to appear on non-sanguophage pawns? It doesn't seem pertinent :D
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 20 jul om 13:16
Yeah
Radish 20 jul om 12:39
The forbidden passion mood negative keeps reapplying even after removing the forbidden passion with character editor.
Evan 19 jul om 20:57
Hey Sarg, Me Again.

I was testing out something and I realized Mead and Wine from VFE: Medieval 2 both don't trigger the Drunken passion's conditions. This appears to be because Wine and Mead provide separate hediffs as opposed to the base Alcohol one (which is given by beer and by VBE alcohols).

Is this intentional, if it is not, would it be possible to patch it to be affected by them when you have the chance?
kongkim 18 jul om 5:25
Love the mod and the new expertises :)
Hope to see even more of that added.
Jirki88 14 jul om 21:21

Melee equal vacuum resilience...I think its just them having a stand and said stand is punching the vacuum away, we just can't see it as non-stand user
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 14 jul om 9:46
v2.1:

Added 4 new expertises: Piloting, Mindfulness, Vacuum resilience and Ranged dodging
thesmashbro 14 jul om 1:17
@Wemijei In the Vanilla Skills Expanded mod settings, you can just set all the passions you don't want to 0.
Catbot1310 3 jul om 11:38
Can you get the special passions on a child pawn during growth moments?
NTNT 13 jun om 0:12
Huh... I didn't even know Crafting Yield was a stat that existed.
Shogun with Shotgun™ 8 jun om 2:44
PRobably not compatible with mad skillz right? :D
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 6 jun om 5:39
No idea, you should ask whoever is managing Cherry Picker now
Wemijei 6 jun om 5:22
is there a reason why some of the passions don't show up on cherry picker? same story for expertises. I do want to filter them but I can't. they are too stacked with VE Skills and some of them don't work with my mods anyway
