the gamebanana version lacks the alternate options it used to have (e.g optional sling for shotgun and the optional grenade skin)

Oh! You mean the Grenade texture? I actually did make it a separate option in my original mod uploads, but haven't figured out a way to implement it to the workshop yet. I haven't been focusing on Half-Life modding lately due to being busy with personal life events. You can download my mod through Gamebanana for the time being, unless if you prefer the workshop version, but it does have some things that are lacking compared to putting custom content into HL2's "custom" folder.

i think i prefer the worldmodel texture on viewmodel until the black thingy gets fixed on the viewmodel one because it kinda looks bad.

I have no plans to do a Garry's Mod version of it at this time. The V_models will have to be converted in C_models.

I already tried with downloading it from gamebanana and extracting all the files with gcfscape but didnt work sadly

Yes. That is a problem that even I struggled to fix in the past. In the end, I may have to create a multiplayer patch of my weapon fixes later. I will fix it eventually.

damn, sorry about that. I just modify the firing sound to contain the reload sound myself. I just wanted to modify it so the sounds could remain separate. oh well.

For the crossbow? Well... unfortunately, I tried modifying the script sounds with the correct sound names, but they do not play in-game. It only works in a multiplayer game like Deathmatch.

Something tells me that there is some sort of problem within the source code that is preventing the sound to play. I compared the weapon scripts for both the updated HL2 and Deathmatch and they look the same to me. The best thing I could do is to decompile the Crossbow model and play the sound within the .qc file.

Wait a minute, it's the worldmodel actually. I have absolutely NO idea why the physics model in the game is incorrectly implemented. I will have to do something about it in my next update...

I can confirm it clips for me as well, but only if you directly subscribe to this addon. If you place it in custom folder this issue doesn't occur

It is possible that you have a separate game_sounds_weapons.txt sound script that may conflict with it.

Oh, that user is the one who I based most fixes out of. Back then, I originally upload this to Gamebanana, but I've got into a bit of trouble with the Gamebanana moderators (at the time; not the current moderators) after fufilling fan requests to modify some weapons with fixes made by other users like Onemanshow as it is considered stealing content even though I credited them. Ever since then, I decide to take down my mod due to the personal stress that I could not handle.

Years go by, and I finally decide to bring it back promising that any models that I do not modify will not go into my fix pack. Now, it seems like users like you want me to fix most annoyances with the models instead of keeping it Vanilla. I will consider my options and then, when I have time, update the fix pack along with uploading other optional fixes to the Workshop.

This is a good addon, but I think you should
1. Make Gordon hold the ar2 with two hands
and 2. Enlarge the SMG's grenade launcher tube, like MMOD

Okay, some things to fix: the AR2 view model (Gordon's hand isn't in the AR2 view model). In the pistol's reload animation, Gordon's thumb is somewhat deformed and quite noticeable, and finally, the lever where the "misfire" animations end is in a slightly different pose than the idle animation.

I do wish that you used a different SMG1 model with a bigger grenade launcher barrel but other than that these are good fixes
