You can downsize this a lot. In the .mtl file.
Use a link into textures folder like /inventory/. You see it often in many mods and the original game.

Hope you use some of the skins to remake levels from the aforementioned game. I think the BF3 mission where you face the Russian paratroopers in Iran would be a great GoH level imo
