@Civilized_Man I'm glad it did! Honestly, that's the best praise I can hope for.
Civilized_Man 8 月 23 日 下午 5:24
That wing design is genius! Definitely has inspired some new concepts for my builds :)

@apollo Ah, ok thanks! In that case, you can replace some armor with flat thrusters without changing the exterior too much. Side thrusters behind the existing side ones, and downward thrusters where the ladder attaches to, or replacing the wings.
This was a design of compromises, so some things had to give. Also the expectation is that the user modifies the ship as they best like it, so it should be taken as a starting point/barebones model.
It's underpowered in the thrust section. When I spawned it on the starter air planet, it almost crashed because the side thrust was weak, as well as the upward thrust. I love the design, but I think it's underpowered in terms of thrust.

works grate

@apollo I'd be useful if you provided a bit more detail with your feedback. What do you think is underpowered? Thrust? Power output?
ist under powered
@Badrabbit As pointed out in the description, you don't need DLCs to use it, but you will have to replace 2 thrusters with regular, non-DLC ones when you build/paste the craft. There are some DLC textures too, but that's just aesthetic.

Is there any need that it needs dlcs? Cause i have none.==

@Ghevd You're welcome! I like doing the 3d models from time to time, but sometimes I have to remove blocks from the larger ships due to sketchfab restrictions. This one has all the blocks though.
Ghevd 5
Thank you for the 3D models on the workshop. It is so nice to look through the guts of the ship without having to resort to crossing my fingers and hoping there is a tour on youtube.

It's like a not-ornithopter
@Sᴢʏᴍᴏɴɪᴄᴜs No, the design evolved naturally from the requirements I set. But that ship you mention does have similar tail and wing design. I considered many, many wing layouts, but this one was the cheapest while also looking good. That's mainly why I chose it.

It's nice you mention GOF, I had completely forgotten that game existed, and I played it many years ago.

Also, thanks!
Out of curiosity, did U based it off GOF2HD Cormorant ship?
Looking sweet

Thank! I'll write when I'm ready.
@Survival Ready Sure go ahead! As long as the original is credited, it's fine by me
Survival Ready 3
It is difficult to come up with a more compact configuration of modules necessary for survival. If you do not mind, I would like to publish my version of the ship with a link to the original. There is one idea on how to make a ship for survival on Pertam.
@Survival Ready Hi, yes the detector is a nice addition, but I needed the space for the (huge) O2 tank. With so little space to work I figured I could just attach a detector to the connector and carry it around only when I needed it. But I left most components exposed so that the ship is easy to modify, like you did.
What you describe I would consider a new specialized variant for prospecting.
Survival Ready 3
I really like your ship. I'm working on the vanilla line of Starter Ships for survival and would like to suggest some small changes that will make the ship a little more useful. The screenshot https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3448939279
shows the main changes. The ship's task is to find and process ore + basic component production.
Rhea.licious 3
This is really neat, reminds me a lot of a similarly sized and colored ship I built like 4ish years ago.
@PallyDanaRama I think what you describe is at least partially possible, given that there are many blocks with non-DLC counterparts. But there is no incentive for Keen to do that sadly, quite the opposite.

For VTOLs with swivel engines, there are scripts on the workshop, I haven't played around with them much but they work. One thing I want to design is a tilt-engine ship that can be printed in regular survival, without mods. But I haven't had much free time lately...
Sorry to use your build as a town hall vent session.

Really cool design; The prototype staging pic is also really interesting. I've been thinking about making something small like this, but with the thrusters on rotors that rotate to direct thrust in a particular direction instead of having thrusters always in every direction. Only problem is... I don't know how to do that lol. I stopped by because your design looks somewhat similar to my inspiration ship:The Havoc from G-Police
IMO would have been cool, since the DLC supposedly only add cosmetic changes, to code all DLC cosmetics in a way so that downloading a blueprint with them will just spawn the vanilla counterpart for non-DLC players. But now that I have the DLC, I see why that would be impossible. Many blocks are far more than cosmetic. They add or change functionality, move access points and conveyor hookups, and in some cases simply have no vanilla counterpart at all. Inset lights, for example. In vanilla, you often have to just live with gaps in flooring because you can't have both a floor and a light, but inset lights let you place an interior wall that IS a light. Or corridor sections with lighting built in. Now the block you walk through can just be used for the floor or corridor you're walking through AND you can have lighting inside your ship/station.
i was talking about the fact the ship has them semi-required, which i like about this, plus the overall design of the craft

this is a great Atmo-transport, wishing you luck on future projects(especially No DLC/semi-required DLC ones)
@GigaCars

I get it, but not likely to happen.

DLC was supposed to be all cosmetics, but they became the compact super blocks that everyone wanted. You can replace most of the DLC with free mods but yes you have to do it on your own.
DLC required?

nah how about no-dlc-at-all/semi-required

we need more semi/no-DLC, the SE workshop needs to return to no DLC soon
