That's weird. I went to The Chest and tried it, it was working as intended as it didn't allow me to pick up any items, could it be a mod compatibility issue?

I've tested it with treasure and red chests and it seems to be consistently picking up the item as soon as it switches instead of respecting the mod's timer. I've also tried giant treasure chests and those work as intended.

Are you sure? I'm able to consistently replicate it with golden chests. I'll try reinstalling the mod a couple times and let you know if it's fixed.

@Supernaut That would be beyond this mod's scope, but another mod could be made for that purpose

@Alecontin your mod could be come top of isaac workshop if you preserve the original glitched crown as another feature.

I coded my mod before even trying to check if someone else already made a solution, found out about Glitched Crown Chest Fix just before I was about to publish my mod. I had no idea what to do so I just posted this without much thinking but in hindsight I should've at least mentioned that mod. I'm updating the description now
