@Kregon appreciate that brother, i am not sure if i should post this mod cuz its pretty small but yeah hopefully this will get me started into more complex modding. I wanna create essos flavor pack mod that would encompass all of essos, our agot community lacking in that aspect

Hi @Raven lee thanks a lot, and glad you like my mods! As for your request, since it's a easy tweak, I will not make a mod for it, but just tell you how to do it yourself!
in [agot mod folder]\common\script\values\00_agot_free_city_values.txt, find "free_city_term_length = {" in line 130, you can see the default term length for free cities below it, where lys has 4 and myr has 6, change them as you like e.g. 10 and -1 is for life like pentos or braavos.
Note that your change will be overwritten if AGOT update that file, so the best way is to make a little custom mod, you can use the launcher to create one and paste your edit file and directory to it, maybe even make it accessible and upload to workshop for anyone who'd like to use, that's how I start modding.

use 3 of ur modes, they are goated if u play in essos which i usually do. would u be open to make a mod that allows an option(law) to change term length in lys and myr to 10 years?

zz_city_holding.txt also contain guild_halls change to make them buildable in urban, if you want to keep that, only delete city main holding related codes.

I recently update city and castle first tier main building to change AI tendency to build more cities and less castles, that's probably why, since I didn't look into LoV for their models and arts if you are using those mods.
Can you check if second tier castle and city still have the right art? Then this should be the cause. If you are not really needing this changes, delete zz_city_holding_fix.txt and zz_caslte_holding_fix.txt under "[this mod]/common/buildings", it should solve the problem.
Sadly if both arts and features to be kept, I have to make a compatch with whatever other mod you are using, I might do that when I have time.

I dont know why but its change holding arts. (I'm playing in Valyria and this mod change beautfiul constantinople art)

I tried legacy of Valyria. And after a closer look, I found they altered temple and city buildings (mainly for visuals) thus making function #3 #4 #5 useless. Others should work if load after mine.

Or if you sacrifce the monastic schools in temple, just load their mods after mine. Note that More Buildings Reboot might lock you out of Monasteries' buildings and holdings from what I've seen in their other edits on "00_agot_holdings.txt"

Yes, I take a look at legacy of valyria, indeed only the conflict is at holdings.txt. Luckily It would be a very simple fix. My only change in that txt is to unmark the # monastic_schools_01 under church holdings, which enables you to upgrade or build it in temple holdings. You could do this change in their mod's holdings.txt and then load it after mine mod. As for MoreBuildings Rebot +AGOT, it would be the same. I think this would allow you build their custom buildings.
Since this would be a really really simple fix, I would not bother to upload a compatch for those two, I will put this info in the description if someone needs it like you.

Hi guys, thanks for your reply! I didn't use submods atm but have heard of the famous COW-AGOT and might try it later. I download them and take a quick look at their files, there seems miraculously to be no file conflict, so probably would be compatible.
As for More Buildings Reboot + AGOT, they have a conflict at holdings. Based on files, if you load theirs after mine, I would predict all functions except #2 and #3 would work, so probably largely compatible. I would also suggest try load mine after theirs, I think mine would not change their mods too much.
I would try this two mods when I have time. I liked the COW for base game.
Please let me know if they are compatible or not if you tried.
