For now it is intentional - those ships don't have a proper AI system to guide them. Their AI tactics now are just "charge and shoot", and I plan on implementing a proper engagement setting for every ship, so that some of them point their prow to enemy and spam torpedoes, while the others circle the enemies at a set distance and rain broadsides on them.
Will implement Imperial Cruisers first, then Chaos ones. It will take some time.
There are plans for new mechanics, such as ship explosions, proper debris and drifting hulks; different torpedo types will be added to complement the larger ships. Nova cannon is also in the works.
