the issue is not with this mod, I have tried several times, now at the latest I deleted this and all mods, reinstalled the game, picked some mods except any smithing mods and still the game crashes even when I just start refining hard wood. Once worked then the second time when I refined the game crashed and can't even load my last save.

there must be something wrong with another mod that is bugged

Does not work for me, but "Better Smithing Continued" on Nexus last update 2024 works for me. Also using Bannercraft.

well similar bug, but with righ perks you get +1hardwood in refining and this mods feature 3works. Mod works with Shouko v1.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0 untested above

same bug, very broken, making charcoal actually reduces charcoal and wood by 1 for me

Having a funny bug where Hardwood and Charcoal are the same item, and so when I Hardwood -> Charcoal, it actually adds one of each instead of converts. And other recipes that use charcoal or wood consume one of each too. Unless this is an intentional way to get rid of wood haha

it is working however when i break weapons of tier 6 i only get tier 1 component and i don't know if it is because of this mod or the base game

I added it to the workshop, but it doesn't work in the saved save file. Do I need a new save file from the beginning?
