no, ep2 builds off of ep1 content. the ep2 model only adds story-related attachment points, which i've already included, so they're essentially same model

does that mean that for some reason valve decided to not update the ep2 model with the one from ep1?

Oh, if I had realized that, I would have subscribed to it a while ago.

this kleiner mod only raises the resolution to the same as alyx's (1024x512). still very vanilla

Didn't realize that used the newer model, also I have a strange pet-peeve with that mod, maybe it would be unnoticeable in game, but it would seem weird for Kleiner to have a much higher resolution face texture than the other characters.

yeah all major characters except judith and breen got a rework in ep1, with alyx getting another for her post-hunter model in ep2

I never noticed that they changed his face in the episodes.
