i figured out why this wasnt working i dont know how its working for everyone else but in the director_base_addon.nut you put inside
IncludeScript("nolaser.nut",getroottable()) and
IncludeScript("nol4d2anything.nut",getroottable()) when it should have been

IncludeScript("nolaser",getroottable())

you can choise what guns. meleeS. and items can pIckup the bots in the 'ems' folder settings of LEFT 4 BOTS 2.. you just delete that you dont want to use.. and also you can choise what weapon take first ..secont... third....

thats odd, mine works just fine! I usually use HUNK'S version (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3400819703) If I feel like getting rid of them all. Otherwise, you could always take Yoru's advice and use the L4D1 Mutation.

Ahh ok, I do use left 4 bots as well as special infected ai improvements so maybe that's the issue

@ScottyMeHotty Just looked into it and it could be the campaign itself or an ai enhancing mod thats causing the problem

I dunno if it was this mod or not, but I'm assuming it had to have been since it gets rid of the l4d2 items, but I was playing on a custom map and it said something about "defibrillator isn't precached" and crashed the game
