Personally I just use the mod to make cute little stations in Creative mode
ill also add that sitting by a station selling things is substantially lower risk than combat, or even mining.
to some degree, yeah, that slows you down some. although you still make a huge amount of money filling freighters passing buy. and once you research processed foods, you almost never have that problem.
