Hey Festive, I have not been able to reproduce the issue you are having. With AAT active, I have been able to assign the MIOs both with NSB active and inactive. The only tank I can't assign to is the Great War tank (by design). Is anyone else having this error also?

im trying a fresh re-install, i had no other mods active, it had a grey question mark instead of the symbol for light of medium tank

Just tested again and had no issues assigning tank MIOs. Are there other mods active that are affecting the MIOs? The only tank MIO that can't be assigned is Ordnance, which is for research only.

Current plan: Bell is done and am working on more MIO updates. Will need testing when completed. When the DLC shitstorm hits in November, first I'm going to update the generals mod (because it will be faster), then will have this updated as soon as humanly possible.

I also don't know why they are happening. Still haven't been able to find a direct link between this mod and the process for each of them.

-The warlords all meet the requirements to join the United Front, but they don't do it. Looks like GXC and YUN don't do it now. I am going to add absurd motivation for them to join (like AI_will_do factor = 100) and see if that makes a difference.
-Haven't found a link with Mexican civil war but will keep looking. I need to play a test game as MEX and see what pushes them towards Second Cristiada.
-Never even noticed the continuation war problem, it's like going back to the first 9 years of HOI4.
-Don't have the Balkan DLC but will troubleshoot from the txt docs first.

noticing some bugs with this that i dont really know why they are happening

- bulgaria doesnt join the axis
- continuation war doesnt happen
- not all cliques join the united front
- mexican civil war

- saw a bulgarian civil war once

the top 4 are the most consistent. great mod tho btw

Nah dawg, can't take on any more projects. Plus everything Japan-related is about to have the script flipped when the new DLC comes out, so I've been avoiding the Pacific until then.

So... would it be possible for you to integrate VNR's "Pearl Harbor" submod with this via compatch? Keep what's unique with it, and discard it's features that TRM makes redundant?

Thanks for the heads up. The decision was not properly re-integrated with the mod after testing. If you re-load your game, the decision should now appear. It becomes visible when GER has war with USA and ENG. The US doesn't always accept on the first try, but the decision will re-appear and you can fire it again.The US will be forced into a truce, but you remain at war with the Allies if they have another major (such as RAJ or CAN).

how is the peace with germany if the axis conquers russia and britain activated? i enjoy using this mod for the US AI when im playing the axis too, and they never prompted a cease fire or peace deal.

Nope, Alf was a old liberal republican who actively opposed the America First Committee on a number of things. I liked the original PDX set up for him so it's left mostly the same, but he has some unique options in the tech tree. Nothing fancy.

Sounds like the Pearl Harbor mod. Unfortunately the XP penalty also extends to XP you get from effects; I have no idea why.

Balance the budget: it would help if the decision actually existed. Looks like I made the tooltip and never thought of a proper bonus.

One other thing, I don't know if this is the result of a mod conflict or just a bug, but I noticed that when it's supposed to get unlocked, the Balance the Budget decision was missing.

That's understandable, but it also prevents the ability of getting Navy XP from the yearly Fleet Problems decision. Though I forget if that's a feature of VNR or its non-hard requirement "Pearl Harbor" submod.

Both mods edit history/states; this one makes adjustments to resources, ports and infrastructure, and Thick Cities adds new provinces. Apparently that's enough to break it without a patch.

For the XP, scarcity motivates strategic planning. There's enough in peacetime to design equipment and fill out the officer corps, but I specifically wanted to limit the ability to just complete all doctrines before the fighting starts. American forces had pre-war doctrine, then re-wrote it based on the Fall of France, then re-wrote it again once they actually fought the Axis.

Also, I don't understand what it is about this mod that breaks Thick Cities - 2025, I don't see any differences in the map. I get the error saying it failed to load the map if I have these enabled together, but not one or the other.

Hotfix: Fixed US Navy idea. Added Simplified Chinese localization courtesy 562450275.

The Chinese United Front forms but GXC and YUN do not join. I can't pin this down yet. Also Mexican civil war where the cause is unclear. Will look again before next update.

The path hasn't been blocked, the US Navy national spirit is not modifying like its supposed to. It is stuck at it's Battle of the Atlantic iteration.

In the focus file it is called USA_King_for_CNO. This focus went through like four iterations before it ended up where it is now. Originally I had looked at choosing a CNO similar to how your choose the chief of staff, but it ended up feeling like filler. I have no problem completing it after the war starts; did it block out the path for you?

I think the Remember Pearl Harbor focus is non functional. I could not find it on a search of the focus usa.txt file. It leads to the US Navy national spirit never modifying beyond Battle of the Atlantic.

No plans to do any other trees, Imperator. Germany and Italy are recent, Japan's coming this year, and I think UK's is pretty good. I just thought US's was coming up short and got carried away. Been working on this for a year and it's still not done. Also working on a big update for General Traits. One thing I've looked into is doing a custom MIO standalone mod for Germany similar to how they're done here, but would take a lot of time.

I looked at 8-years files and yes they will conflict. Both mods edit the manpower and economy laws, and 8YWOR makes lots of changes throughout including USA changes that will conflict. This mod will definitely be jacked if it is lower in the load order; not sure how bad it would be if this mod loaded after 8Y.

It seems that a group called the "Zveno" is the ones that rebel. It's tied to a timed event in the decisions tab called "Zveno Coup Preparation." Other than this, it's a great mod!

I added a fix for the Chinese United Front that will be in the next update. It's still not clear why it wasn't working. Nothing in this mod conflicts with the chain of events for the faction to form. All conditions were met for the warlords to fire the Xian incident decision, but they wouldn't do it. I tested it three times and so far it's working now each time. We'll see.

No earthly idea why this mod would trigger a BUL civil war. I don't have that DLC so I can't test it. If you're able to provide more details on who is rebelling, what focuses or decisions they choose, etc., I might be able to scour the code to try to find out. Thanks.

From my experience, this mod causes the Chinese United Front not to form, and it causes Bulgaria to go into a civil war in 1939
