Yes it is a very common mistake unfortunately. (and one of the reasons why the LOM report highlights the assets with a high number of tris in lod) Consider that with normal lod settings the length on the screen of a 5 meter vehicle in LOD is a few real millimetres. And consider how many triangles are visible in those few millimeters (only a few dozen I would say). a vehicle with 1600 tris in lod will have many triangles of even sub-pixel size (the worst possible case, your PC performs the calculations for 4 adjacent pixels and then discards the result of 3 and keeps only 1 pixel, effectively wasting 75% of its calculation)

Love it! I'm really happy with 9k tris for the main model. Even more would be fine or 2k texture. But 1643 tris for the LOD it's a performance problem. Too many tris in lod asset defenetly ruins the perf, much more than the main model. the smaller are the tris on the screen based on distance the worst it is for hardware reason

@eons Luna not really, overall this is just a more detailed model and updated model, ninjas has way less tris tho. Depends which one you like the most.
