New abilities for buildings or units only appear when the building/unit is first produced. If you add a mod between sessions that adds a new ability then you need to build a new unit.

For buildings this means build the building a first time in a new city.

My recommendation would always be to not add, change or remove mods from a save and only do so before starting a new one.

I have the mods for hive fleet cerberus and locust, but apart from those no other mods that affect tyranids apart from this. I moved it to the top of the mod list, but when i check my unit producing buildings they still do not show me these units. (do i just have to make a fresh game to be able to use it?)

Do you have any other mod installed that affects Tyranids? If so move this mod up on the mod list.
Any mod that completely overrides the files for the production buildings and is higher up on the mod list will override this mods additions.

Downloaded this mod, it seems to work since i can research the units and everything, I just can't actually produce any of these new units

Olgan wonders how this mod would be improved based on one I know called (Tyranid Swarm). But making it for (Reinforcements - Tyranid - New Units). Mind you, it's an idea, but it could be quite a bit more difficult for the enemy or even the player, but with greater strategy. Anyone who has an opinion, you'll probably be fine. But if you don't respect my opinion, I'll respect it. (Well, if you're wondering, Who am I? Well, I'm just a simple person who lives in a country called Chile, which is the Latin American continent.)

There will be no adjustments for CCO or other mods that make drastic changes to the game. I create my mods with the base game in mind, taking mods into consideration that change large portions of the game would require entirely new mods that barely a fraction of players take an interest in.

Uploaded a fix to compatibility issues with heroes of Legends. Unfortunately all previous save files won't work and anyone still in a game would have to restart.

There has been no change to the mod and no patch to the game itself.
Have you added any other mods recently? There are known issues that if multiple mods attempt to introduce units with the same file structure that issues arise. Such as the Heroes of Legend mod series having its own Swarmlord.

That is not such an unexpected issue. We most likely named our files the exact same way which leads to conflict.

The mod seems to be incompatible with Devian's Tyranids mod, the Swarmlord units conflict with each other

Other than that this looks like a great addition
