cool mod for hard mode, well made. too hard for me tho. wiped by a fleet obliterating laser and its not even the final rounds

i found the problem it was a backup of the old version in the roaming folder

Yeah you're a few versions behind. Try refreshing your mods. Worst case you can always unsubscribe / resubscribe.

its red in the list works fine the classes core version is different and its flagging it

Not sure what you're talking about. This works on max version *.* of Avorion and requires version 1.7.34 of ESCC, which is on version 1.7.35.
