It should allready have this atleast in OmniArc It does. Both the Welder and Grinder type has. It is however not a controlable option. It is embed in the definition so it does do it: <PickUpFloatings>true</PickUpFloatings> Defined within each block. ToolCore parameters. But does not work if you have full cargo containers. This also means if you can cargo containers connected together and the first one is full there is a chance it wont pickup because it can not get past the full one. This is basic conveyoring tho. Or what i called noob conveyor network where everything is connected together. Every inventory block(cargo, reactors, assemblers, refineries etc) should be part of a conveyor network. And not in the conveyor network.
Do you mean item collection by picking it up from inventories of blocks? or just laying around?
Cause I am using another toolcore mod in a server im playing that has the feature to pick up items inside of inventories when grinded down
@BadAlpaca It is a possibility but it is outside my control as i use a framework to make the tools similar to how weapon modders use weaponcore to make custom weapons. I use toolcore to do the same. And functionality wise toolcore make my blocks tools. And all their features are added by toolcore. Not sure if the TC devs has planned this at all. That person is kinda on a break from modding right now(Most SE devs turns to burn out at point) This happens alot because modding SE takes alot of time. And isent really rewarding. So modders in SE atleast actively is most of the time shortterm. Atleast for solo modder. Im kinda on a break myself to enjoy the game. Its like this. Serverowners, Devs, Modders = No Play(No enjoyment of the game) So when we are not doing this we can actually enjoy the game.
Not sure Phoenix im having a semi vacation from modding to enjoy the game a little. But will pick it up again eventually. I just want to avoid a total burnout because space engineers modding is a passion and doesnt really get you anything or pay you anything. So it has to be based on what im feeling. One of the reasons i have not dived into Space Engineers 2 modding yet.
Any news on when the grinder blocks will be released?
First of all, this Mod is amazing aesthetically and functionally. I've been looking at it as a replacement for the nanobot build and repair mod, but my only gripe is that it doesn't currently have item collection. Is this going to be added in the future?
I assume another ToolCore side thing would be to make it so it only targets projected grids?
This applies to both client and servers.
Remember tho if you are solo testing in your own world you will need Pulsar(new pluginloader) and use Multigrid Projection plugin because ToolCore uses it.
Ok Thanks i'll try
You have to use both Activate(Actual Fx) and turn on Track Targets(toolcore buggyness that welds without FX)
I tried this mod to use the welder I had toolcore loaded with it but when using it
I saw no Laser fx even if they built the blueprint in a really short time
ToolCore. There is no such feature
Any chance that we could have a range limit feature?

Or is that a toolcore side thing?
Niran 8
There is a problem with this mod drill. For the same Ore, a regular drill bit get 8.33k, while this mod drill only get 2.14k.
Vrayl 6
So I have the Deconstructors set to only deconstruct enemy ships, but they seem to whip around like loss of control of a firehose at full blast. I was hovering over a crashed enemy ship, Deconstructors mounted to the bottom of my ship, and they destroyed the front section of my own ship. They would whip around almost 180 degrees, start firing and strafe the inside of my ship before hitting the target below me. Do I have something set wrong? Or should I not be using them in this way due to the danger of them spinning around like that?
RuschGaming.TV 6 月 5 日 下午 12:34
any news on the memory leak issue?
Is it possible to add the ability to set an ignore color? Specifically, I'm thinking it would be helpful to prevent welder/grinder competition. (i.e. set the ignore color for welders equal to the work color for the grinders and vice versa).
Ok, nvm I think? they just started welding projections now.... i think
For the Omni Welders, Is there a way to make the welder Work On Color for Projectors? I have a ship that has Grinders grinding one color, and welders trying to weld the projections of another color, as they are trying to weld everything the grinders are trying to grind.
xcollector_21x 5 月 2 日 上午 12:57
OK its showing up now after i turned down the weld speed to 2 i had it on 5 and i think the beam only showed when i blocked the path because it had to stay to to try to weld the block behind me otherwise it was to fast to show up ?????
xcollector_21x 5 月 2 日 上午 12:28
@Raidfire can you tell me what I'm doing wrong i cant see the beams from the welders haven't tried the grinders but the welders if i move into the path of the beam it shows up but cant see it from any angle or distance was working before the update as seen on Shack and Splitsie's stream but now nothing hope you can help thanks
Toney 4
My mistake, I read the description, I was under the impression that ToolCore was a framework and that the lasers were added in with the mod
@Toney currently no you are not. Its not something i can add to my mod as im using the ToolCore framework(handles how the tools work) Everyone should read the description before adressing questions ;)
Toney 4
Are we able to change the color of the lasers? I feel like the option to change colors would be a nice addition
RuschGaming.TV 4 月 20 日 下午 4:41
Huge Memory Leaks on Boredrills. Everything else works fine.
Hi, is the memory leak still an issue with toolcore? Using these welders seems to be tanking my servers memory, and I've noticed that projections are no longer printing in the correct textures, they're defaulting to standard texture which was never a problem before setting up the server
how do i get my in game script to toggle the activate to the drill laser turns on? plz help
Raidfire  [
Open P menu select grind color. Then go to the deconstructor. Toggle workcolor On. Reselect Tool and press Set from Color Picker
How do we set a work color for the deconstructor?
Rogen 4
:sefacepalm::selike:
Raidfire  [
Not possible at this moment. Rogen read the bottom of the mod description and youl understand why i cant just give it a magical function. When making mods you make a mod with a set standard and not for what others want specificly or preferences. If someone wants something specific they should make their own mod ;)
Rogen 4
Can you also add a feature where we can change the settings of these blocks from the Rich Hud F2 Terminal? Especially the length of the laser is sometimes very insufficient, I would like to be able to increase it.
these parts look so good
I deleted some i.e temp, download, but I'll search that file number and nuke them all...fingers crossed
Just to clarify tho. When a mod doesnt download. Its never an issue with the mod itself. Its either a corrupted appworkshop ACF file or corrupted mod cache. So i suggest people actually research reasons for mods not downloading and not instantly blame it on the mod itself.
I responded to you in the Bug Reports channel. Im telling you its an issue on your side and not the mod.
Still not working. Won't download and load in. It's been days and you have even responded to other comments, I'm about to drop this mod and pick up the pieces of my ring miner....
The welder beam turret and grinder deconstructor will not be in small grid versions.
Hi, could you add the arcs for small grids in smaller size too?
This is not downloading and loading in this morning, was working just fine yesterday. I've moved it all over my load order and nada, cant load in without it or my ring miner will be in pieces......
This mod uses a custom mod script framework called ToolCore so my mods are only able to do the functions that ToolCore provides.
STUNNING & BRAVE 3
Hello, is it possible to specify blocktypes being grinded? would make upgrading large ships useful.
There shouldnt be a memory leak unless its writing too much to logs. You can see it by checking the logs in appdata/roaming/se/storage/toolcore. But thats from the framework and not mod specific.
Space Ace 3
I've been seeing comments on ToolCore that there's a memory leak on DS. Does this mod do that too? Or is it likely other broken ToolCore mods?
Raidfire  [
That is something i cant do anything about its explained at the bottom of the mod description 😉
Alright men, time to wage WAR 3
Nice mod. Really nice mod.
However, I found quite useless the moment welders are stuck due to no mats.

Cant build thrusters because no plat to build components, ofc. But keep welding the rest of the ship meanwhile?

Said, very good mod, but need a prior system or something.
Dracolich 3
@Disco429 I have found this as well. It kept trying to weld things that were out of it's reach. I had to either weld the block it was trying to weld myself to get it tracking again, or effectively "power cycle" the welders so they reset and began tracking other blocks.
Dracolich 3
@Baked-Potato 5-6 should not be a problem. I have had upto 16 operating at once without issue. I can't seem to get all 84 I built operating at once though. A few tips: Make sure they are actually on. On and Active are different things. And if they are behind a block that is off for some reason, they cannot pull resources. Be sure to press "activate" before choosing "Track targets". If they fail to activate. Deactivate/stop trackign with them all, then activate/track with them one at a time. See if that helps.
