Thank you for using this MOD.
The issue of water leaking out is due to a change in specifications after this map was uploaded.
Ore veins are generated deep underground and generally do not appear on the surface.

really like the map, my lake drained at start so i built in it and refilled it . now i have a bit of a floating castle look. very definsible on survival. however it says gold and silver can "be found" do i have to dig for them? i got some small limestone mines but everything else is soil. i must have generated 30 maps and they all looked like they had no metal on the surface

I think it can be used, but since I'm not the creator of the huge map mod I can't give you an accurate answer.
Also, based on past comments, mineral resources will not be generated in quantities greater than on the vanilla large map, so please be aware that most of the map will be dirt.

You are probably using a map size from a mod.
This mod generates resources correctly.

i don't know what happened to the map, but i have opened several save of this map type and all of them are lacking basic resources like iron and coal. they didn't even have clay.
