Having similar issues with the convict scenario (which is sad since it's the best scenario). People just forget zombies existed and act normally. It's currently day 3, (plus 5 days since inmate scenario starts 5 days later so day 8) and police and paramedics are still getting called. Everyone is acting normally and not a single zombie in sight.

So I started the game as a convict, survived, made a base and logged off. I reloaded today, all the zombies have turned back into people, and I'm getting murdered by people in the base I secured saying I'm trespassing.

Yea there doesn't seem to be a limit, i managed to get 8000 cash just by rejoining a couple times

Not sure if this is a general bug or not but when you spawn with the cash-out, if you keep rejoining the game you can make practically infinite money.

I noticed a bug when killing military NPCs who are standing at the end of the location (near the fences, like a post), and for some reason their weapons can't be hung on their backs, but they can be picked up and fired normally. Whenever I click on such a weapon, I immediately get an error. It could be a mod conflict, but I've checked everything and there shouldn't be any conflicts. This is the first time I've encountered this bug. I don't remember seeing it before when I played.

Hey slayer love the mod can't stop trying to reach the 7th day but I've noticed a bug playing as a doctor cause the game to crash just wanted to let you know I know doctor isn't much of a played profession but just wanted to shine a light on it to Let you know

I think most people just want to play the sims for a couple of days, expecting you to map out every single sidewalk for the NPC's to walk on. I personally love this mod and cannot for the life of me play without it. It's literally perfection with all the bonkers shit going on. Especially when 20 people group together "looting" (theyre just stuck trying to enter a building) and start smashing windows and doors to get inside.

Also the military straight up going on murder sprees is the absolute best thing ever.

LambVORTEX: the lore is this, when you start the game, the sickness is already there, its a gradation from npcs being not tactful, rude, aggressive up to the moment they get zombified. So in other words the fact that they walk on the streets, dont care for they life, group into hordes in shops, and dont respect borders is just part of their gradual change. why is so many players expecting decency from this already infected poor people.

@jacob.polgar the vanilla game can get boring but I strongly recommend getting familiar with it before running mods like Week One that completely change how the game handles. I also strongly recommend running a custom gamemode and combing over each and every option thoroughly. It's tedious but you will notice a lot of things that could be changed to make the game a much more fun experience, such as adding starting trait points, increasing XP gains, etc.

All that said there is a critical lesson in this game's tediousness and difficulty;:surviving calamity is hard, but it is nearly impossible for the unprepared. Do you take your fitness seriously? Can you physically defend yourself? How will you deal with fresh water being cut off? Can you stop a rapid bleed? Splint a fracture? Is there a fire extinguisher in reach? Are your smoke alarms working?

This game made me into a prepper and I hope it does the same for you.

Is there a reason we're not supposed to start a new character? Ive had over 20 characters die on separate saves and recently have been able to restart on the same save like 5-6 times in a row made it like two weeks into the outbreak and the finale never happened, so that might be it? Im very new to the game and only got the game to play the week one mod tbh, in the 60 hours ive played this mod i have yet to see the finale at all. Im sick and tired of having to go through the first 2-3 days over and over again just to have an NPC run up and stab me in a major artery for looting a building that everyone else is already looting. Death isnt the worst thing in a game like this, its knowing that the last 10 hours of my life now mean nothing because i got ganked and now i have to restart and go loot the same buildings for the next 10 hours in order to setup in my measly little basement again. Having to restart on a whole new save to prevent bugs is actually soul crushing.

You people sure like to bitch a lot and I'm saying this as the OP of "Pre-nuke firebombing runs are unsurvivable", and look, I ain't trying to glaze slayer, but he's done a pretty impressive job one-manning this shit. None of the problems I've seen complained about recently except maybe lack of support for co-op (which is a base game problem first, mod problem second) are insurmountable. The crosshair bug can be worked around with practice and it goes away on its own, the core dump is almost always a result of too much loading at once (drive slower when entering a city you dweeb), and the NPC jank does break the immersion but if anything it's goofy and fun. Yeah, read that again, it's FUN. If you wanted an ultra realistic living simulator simply turn your computer off and go on a walk; some of your BMIs show through your comments. I'm not saying the game doesn't need work, but insulting the only mfer working on it is just gonna make him quit. Have a basic level of respect for once.

@SANDMAN this mod is definitely rough around the edges but in this case it's neither a bug nor a bad assumption. It's a bunch of hobos squatting your flat. Solution: sawn-off JS-2000 :steamhappy:

am i the only one who's having issues? Everything works fine until it comes to choosing a spawn, there's an extra called Muldraugh+, but no matter the spawn I choose? my screen goes black and i have to force stop the game :(

Mr.Slayer i would suggest a land claim block just like 7days to die so random npc/event/zomboies doesnt spwan inside your base area.Its not really immersion breaking but would be a very qol feature for those who like it by making it configurable in starting menu.I died twice cuz hostile group just wanted to spawn beside my tv room and another time plane event decided to be on top of my house. I would really appreciate this feature which can sovle many of the issues reagarding npc and event.

This mod is beyond fixing.

NPCs claim your house.
NPCs barge into your house (Non burgulars. Just civs)
Rare chance everything disappears when you shoot (NPCs still exist. Fun when you get attacked)
Insistant on barging into your house just to grab a weapon (On shelf that is not seen)

50 hours away from striking 6k hours... And this mod is the most broken yet somewhat still playable that I have used. Slayer please just do something--ask people to help you with the damn coding and troubleshooting. I like this mod and not seeing any coders in the credits part of the description makes you seem like a guy that knows what he does... Only to end up looking like a fool.

has anyone found a fix for the cross-hair bug where firearms randomly lose the cross-hairs and it turns back into the melee one? its getting to the point where week one is unplayable because of it. as of yet ive found no logical reason why its happening. it doesnt seem to be repeatable (as in there is no method ive found to reliably repeat the issue) yet it happens every 20 minutes or so

hi, we played week one with no issues in co op single player until recently, maybe up until scenario menu. now when we start a new game, and while try to add a second new player via game controller it just simply wont go over NEXT after selecting character. we removed all mods first, tried and it worked fine, and after adding week one that happens. hoping you could help us please, we love to play week one, thank you.

When I drive to the lower part of the city, an error occurs and the screen fades out. If anyone knows how to fix this, please help. I only use mods for Ki5 cars.

@Captain Cox - I’m having the same issue; set up all the game options for a new playthrough, as soon as I hit finish on the character creator -> no black loading screen -> just hangs on main menu splash screen and a avalanche of red errors. :(

3rd: using a large box truck, back it directly in front of the front door (or any door you wish) as far back as you can. you are trying to get the bumper to ghost through the door slightly. this makes an airlock for gear from floor one which you will need a way to get things inside from the ground

4th: use ropes or sheets from the second floor windows and hang them on every window you can. they can get taken out by stray gun fire easily etc.

poof. no more NPC inside your house.
Zombies will crawl under cars. NPC's wont.
