For more realism, the rain could be louder... but then you wouldn't hear everything else, so... GOOD MOD

Thank you so much!!! Those damn things were driving me crazy! Now I can actually hear all of the non-cricket (it also included birds and frogs) ambience without getting a headache :D

Sometimes I felt like joining the zombies, with their violent hatred of this kind of noise... looks like spitter goo takes care of crickets... and the frogs were delicious!

Now i see. You just have to find the proper sound file then mute it or replace with something else. I'd start the search at:

\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\sound\ambient\ambience
\bug_loop.wav
\cicada_loop.wav
\rur5b_cricket_loop.wav
\mosquito_loop_st.wav

Cicadas and crickets? The background sounds of insects chirping in outdoor areas of the first two (pre-storm) maps of Hard Rain. Most outdoor areas in Dark Carnival, Swamp Fever, Blood Harvest, etc

Excellent mod! Is there any way to get rid of the background crickets in l4d2 campaigns, like Dark Carnival? Those can really get on one's nerves...
