well to help add some sense, the nukes used by japan and Germany were very advanced, worse than the Tsar bomb, so that's why it has recovered slowly, also the world was in chaos so nobody focused on it causing more pain to earth

Cool scenario for sure, just wanted to say though, radiation doesn't last that long, only about like 20 years in the case of hiroshima and nagasaki so realisticly from a world scale it would take like, 100 years give or take
