I founded a custom duchy of like 70 counties, then made vassals of 5 counties each, but they could also take the custom duchy decision, and I found my duchy shattering to pieces in years. I think the decision should have a rule that you can't create a custom duchy when you're a count vassal of a duke.

Unfortunate, but I found a work around. Installed the "Vassal can create Duchy mod" and "Cheat menu" mod that allowed me to swap to a charachter and then create a duchy while still remaining in my realm. And if you larp a bit and put a family member on the counties you can even stay in character a bit :P.

hypothetically you COULD do that with an option where you'd select multiple counties and create a duchy with a decision or whatever but i'm far too busy and lazy to do all that lol

no, only when you're a count(ess). it's basically the same as creating a custom kingdom or empire in the base game when your realm is a duchy/kingdom level

Still works fine for me as of 4/11/25. No crashes or bugs encountered on my part even with my other 33 mods installed.

@Demon King this mod just allows you to *create* a new custom duchy, but it doesn't exactly merge your duchy/kingdom/empire level titles; you'd just use unite your realm for that like how glory said

Could you add the ability to increase the cost? Sounds odd but, for some save balancing it could really help! Nice mod.

not sure since i don't play agot but as long as agot doesn't modify the form custom kingdom/empire decisions, you should be good.. if they do however, put this mod below agot so you at least get the decision to form a custom duchy the way this mod sets it and that mod's handling of custom kingdoms/empires stays untouched
