Useful, but too big, it's annoying

My map just reset on me completely unexplored. All my symbols gone. This is the only mod I have that is changing the map.

@Deon i dont know if you still working on putting more quality icons, i heard that you are running out of space in the current map system, what i've seen another mod do is they create their own tabs and put their icons there, its called AMMS mod if you wanna get in touch with them and see how they do it. Cheers hope you still gonna update this mod further with more quality icons

The symbols seem to be quite a bit larger than the vanilla ones, especially when resizing them with a slider. While I won't ask you to make changes to your own mod to accommodate, are there steps I can take as an end user to bring them more in line with vanilla icon sizes?

В б42 размер такой же как у стандартных. В б41 приходится использовать мод для уменьшения размера, как я написал в описании.

Made a new generator icon (I dont have time to show it in screenshot for now, but you still have the old one as map_generator_bak.png if you liked it more in the mod files).

Added BBQ and Propane icons.

I found it's better to use Draw On The Map - Free Hand Drawing [B42/41] for circling stuff and drawing lines/arrows.

Would it be possible to extend the mod with simple lines and arrows, for example to mark and/or circle paths or areas?

Could you add a Propane Tank symbol?

You cannot change color of map icons, they use the color of the pen.

i also suggest changing the colour to the "safe unknown and warning" sign, like green for safe yellow for caution red for warning, that way theres also another use for pens

I've tested, and you can totally switch between mods and it will keep all the markers!

The only thing to consider: restart the whole game after you change marker mod in the save. Otherwise the game doesn't unload old symbols from memory.

I kept the same names for markers, so most likely not. But I am not sure, let me test.

If I change to your hand-drwan mod, do I lose my map marking?

Loaded up my game today and found a water pump icon :D. Thanks for such a speedy update!

I didn't give it much thought at first but I do agree with Gabi, the vanilla icons all look hand-drawn and a bit rough, it'd be great to have a version that matches that style.

I'll see what I can do. I will take a bit of a break from the modding to rest, but I will cook something hand-drawn as a separate mod.

My only criticism is that they don't look hand drawn. Should be more rough looking for some small symbols someone would draw on a physical map. Extra Map Symbols is my favourite for that very reason.

Nevertheless, I appreciate the mod

@highlandman: I tested, and icons not resizing on minimap is not this mod's issue. It's how "Map Symbol Size Slider" mod works. Both mine and vanilla icons aren't resized on minimap.

@Azazellz I will include it in the next update.

Something like a beer\whiskey glass bottle for bar/alcohol storage?

Oh, I didn't know they look different on minimap. It might be an issue with Scale Symbols mod. I will test it and report back.

@Deon can you make so the symbols scale properly in minimap using "Map Symbol Size Slider" mod? Currencly they appear at max size in minimap.

@Deon wonderful work! one of my favorite mods so far :D

Here's the update with previously requested icons:
- Gasmask, helmet, skull.
- Water pump.
- Safehouse/home.
- Turkey head.

I just watched a YouTube short about it tonight :). I’ll add it soon.

One addition that could be useful is a water pump: they're basically what the old wells were, infinite water that doesn't need to be boiled (whilst wells now give you tainted water). They seem to be very rare, so being able to mark them with their own symbol would be useful.

да, про трафареты я не подумал - технологии древних... хд))
за мод позволяющий рисовать от руки спасибо, пригодится. но таки подожду когда адаптируют под 42ой билд пак меток на карту что я использовал раньше.
