I have no clue man it has worked for me in both Build 41 & Build 42.
It has two versions, the Build 41 version is unchanged while the Build 42 version has a bunch of edits to make it work with B42 & Balance the spawn system.

I can investigate it later though and see if there's anything wrong

why is this listed as b41? True music has 2 versions, this mod is listed for b41, but does not work with true music b41, only b42, which then requires me to remove the older true music mod and update to b42 just to use this mod

Why is this allowed on the workshop? or can you update this to not be b41 compatible since it breaks every radio and Vinyl....

@basedmelon It's 'cause I downloaded these from YouTube videos and some videos are artificially quieter than the actual product of the song. Like Megadeth for example, I have Countdown To Destruction on CD and it's very loud, but YouTube's versions are quiet in comparison.

Hmmm I don't know, I know if another mod has the same script and lua file names, one mod might not show up completely. But the script and lua files in this mod use the Workshop ID so they're unique. I don't know what's going on to where only a certain amount of songs are showing up

@Bjorn Yeah it's compatible with Build 41, you only need True Music B42 if you're playing Build 42

@basedmelon You'd need to normalize each track individually or do it in batch with various industry tools. Most people won't have the time, or tools, to do something like that

noticed this pack has uneven levels, i dont know if its per song or just compared to other packs, i noticed the 2pac songs are very very quiet. for example: imagine you're at a house party and everyone (zombies) notices how loud the music is, walls shaking and all but you perceive the music as really quiet. feels like something is wrong. great music choice for sure but you should def tweak this if you can

Try unsubscribing and resubscribing to both mods. The Time Period Accurate one is showing up 'cause I updated it after the 42.1.1 update probably. If it still don't show up after that I'll look into it

Opps, thought I was on grunge. This and grunge that are not working. Should add, they both were showing up just fine the other day for me.

This along with whatever seems to refuse to even show up in my mods. I doubled checked and they are physically downloaded, yet zomboid refuses to acknowledge their existence (on build 42 obviously). If its worth anything, time period is showing up.

I looked for it everywhere. I looked for a long time, but I couldn't find it. I even added my own music, but nothing changed. I wanted to get it through the cheat menu, but there was only 1 casset. I don't remember the name, but it wasn't music. The title said "Project zomboid" and something else

That's interesting, I thought it was fixed. It's working for me, cassette n' vinyl spawns. Maybe you just ain't found em yet? In Build 41 they were way more abundant, everywhere. But Build 42 changed how loot spawns, there's a lot less loot in the world than there used to be in general let alone with music. I find music occasionally. If you're impatient with the new loot spawns then the True Music Radio Mod would help out. You can just pull out a radio and listen.

This mod is not working on B42. And True Music for B42 don't work either. There are simply no cassettes or records. Only boomboxes and record-playing items spawn in the world

This is only temporary until the official mod is updated so it is kinda buggy. The Walkman for example, you will have to equip to open the device options. There also ain't no Cassette Player in vehicles.
