Why no hotkey for farming? Especially watering and harvesting plants

Yeah none of the consumable items work now. This one needs fixing in a big way.

Can confirm smoking no longer working

Smoke hot key no longer recognises matches for source. Not sure if it's lighters or anything else, but when you pull out a smoke, the button does nothing.

@Smiley Face Killer If you'd noticed the dates you'd see I raised this BEFORE 42.1 came out. In fact the ONLY reason I'm resorting to this mod is because I hate, hate, hate having to use the side icons for pickup, place and disassemble. Esp on my huge ultrawide screen. It's appalling there is no vanilla key shortcut for them, and that this non-working mod is the only option, but regardless on B41, B42 and B42.1 this mod doesn't work (for me). So I'm asking - what am I doing wrong. I have the options in the MOD OPTIONS screen, I've bound keys to them but they do nothing (I know at the time of writing that for B42.1 it will never work, but that doesn't explain why I couldn't get it working on B41 and B42.0)

It's the B42.1 update, it messed something up. Just gotta wait and hope for an update

The context menu options will still show up, and if you click one they'll say the lines of like "Must remember to unpack cigarettes" and so on. But then the actions don't actually go through.
My up arrow and down arrow keys work, hot actions don't, flex key also doesn't.

Anyone... any help?

How do I get this to work? I can see in the OPTIONS/MOD OPTIONS the entry for this mod and I'm able to bind keys to the options, but when I'm playing pressing those hotkeys does NOTHING. I can't use the pickup or place or dismantle actions at all. What am I doing wrong?

It'd be so nice if there were a breathing mask/gasmask hotkey.

Play on Steamdeck, the B41 working just fine so I assume this one also but the hot action neither from context menu or shortcut didn't work. The flex key did work though.

Also, I made it work with crack cigarettes and clove cigarettes , and, also be able to light the cigarette with a lit candle or a lantern, then, for now, please use my code below:

Yeah, why have you commented the -- ["Unpack Cigarettes"] though? What is the problem with the new recipes? Can you please message me about that? I've been trying to make it work and even posted a thread [theindiestone.com] to reach for help with that on the forums. Can you please please inform me what is the problem there?

I removed the item that are no longer present and I plan to extend the mod from what is there already to be able to pick which cigarettes to use. Because there's also a mod SKAL smokeless tobacco

If you want to get the smoking hotkey working in B42 there are some changes needed to EHK_Smoke_Init.lua to include the new B42 items; extra lines commented with -- B42 in pastebin link below. The code to get cigarettes out of a pack would need more effort due to the recipe changes, but it doesn't cause errors and triggers the "I need to unpack some cigarettes" line so that's good enough for now.

Oh, I saw that there is no way to use ciggarettes anymore now in B42...

So I figured how to do make it work lol :D Good news, I've made some changes to the code and got it to work in B42. It just needs a day or two of testing and I'll upload this as a separate mod probably after the weekend - if you crave anything else than the ciggarettes, lemme know here. I, for one, used to use the beta blockers too. So I'll add smoke and beta blockers. Any requests from y'all?

Thanks for the port. I noticed that I don't have the option to switch the HotActions and FlexKey buttons off in the context menu. This used to be possible in MCM but I'm guessing with the new Mods tab in options this wasn't updated.

Smokes don't work for some reason, even if you unpack them manually. You can still smoke the vanilla way, but the hot key doesn't work. Just throws up the line of text, as if you're empty.

my smokes dont work weather on person or in bag lighter or matches doesnt matter and yes they are unpacked from both carton and pack. i get no error my character just keeps saying "i wish i had a ♥♥♥. god what i do for a ♥♥♥, ♥♥♥, ♥♥♥." not even playing now i know British for smoke. just curious if im a dunce or if its a mod issue

Am i missing the loot all hotkey assignment?
