So this mod does not work anymore?

I was about to second that it doesnt work again, but my problem was it was too dark to craft despite me having an angled flashlight turned on attached to alice belt and suspenders. So apparently it doesnt count as light for crafting, had to use my car headlights instead.

@Forthias, I took a quick look, it does look like they changed how the recipes are formatted again, specifically the part I fixed originally. Does refilling an empty lighter work for you?

@Forthias Sorry, but I haven't played recently. Build 42.1.0 implemented the fix the same way I did, so I would be surprised if this somehow works again.

How is this mod obsolete? Does it not work or is the torch supposedly fixed? Because I have 2 propane tanks right now in B42 and can't refill my empty torch lol. Does this mod not work anymore?

for reference, i'm running the game in debug mode, so that might be the only time it causes the crash, or it might just be unique to my situation for whatever reason.

@Pickle - it might be a good idea to update the mod so that it doesnt have any code to load that way people dont need to employ the fix.

FYI - this mod being in my default mods upon loading 42.1 caused my game to crash before I could remove it from the list. If anyone else is having the same issue, they can fix it by opening this file on windows:

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Zomboid\mods\default.txt

that has your default mods. I removed this mod from the list and this fixed the issue.

fixed according to change log 42.1

its funny that well over a month now, and i have to download such an easy fix, which should be already patched out weeks ago.
I'm deeply disappointed in the devs. And appreciate even more the moders.

if it doesnt work automatically by activating the mod in the mod section in the main screen , you have to manually activate the mod for the save file you want
press load, select the file you want to play and press the "more" button, there is section for the mods you want to active for that particular save
works like a charm

At First not work for me, but you need to activate manual if you continue a save game. just go to Load an activate in the file of the save game you like to apply the Mod

Not working for me. Infact i had 3 propane tanks that over the course of me adding and removing the mod suddenly emptied the 2 of them and left less than half on the third, and i didn't even touch the two, i was only trying with the same tank all the time. Can't they just hotfix this issue?

it work basiclly but u need 3 welding torch and one propane to have one full welding torch and remove the item from favorite its prevents recharging (litgher,lamp,welding torch,weapons for repair and more) have a good game! thanks for the mod

Didn't work for me the first time I enabled the mod on my existing save, then I exited and checked my save's mod list again and it was unchecked. Enabled it again and loaded my save and it worked perfectly. Thank you so much for this fix, welding's a little less painful now.

@ Silly Viking: assuming you are having problems with a save file that you started without the mod active (and added it subsequently): do as misterjacky13 directs: "Click Load from the main menu of the game and press the save you want the mod to run on, then click More from the bottom right and Choose Mods from the top left and activate the mod from the opened mod menu"

The game allows two different sessions to have two different mod configurations. So if you add a mod after you've started a session, you have to specifically turn it on for that session.
