I had most of the graphic settings to low when the crashes were happening.
I've had issues with this same RNG method in the past too

From what I can gather texture replacements usually don't crash games unless you are running the game on an absolute potato. I'll try to replicate it in the meantime, maybe I'll crash sometime. But for me the game usually crashes because of weapon models or common infected replacement mods
