It's because the pre-tls viewmodel was just a broken L4D1 viewmodel with even lower fov. However I do have a bit of nostalgia for it and actually have this model on fixed versions of them animations somewhere in my personal files lol!

i always thought the pre tls viewmodel looked wonky, and am not a big fan of how close the default one is, this position is perfect.
